On 12/30 my boyfriend and I tried Clifford’s for the first time. We both ordered the Salmon dinner and pretzel bites as an appetizer. Upon arrival it took about 5 mins to be approached and then another 10 before our drinks were brought to us. They weren’t busy. We then got our salads almost immediately and they were delicious. Best part of our meal, sadly. Our pretzel bites came out shortly after and the beer cheese that came with them was barely luke warm. All together it took 45 minutes from the time we placed our order to get our full meal. Our salmon came out raw and cold in the middle. When we alerted the waitress she stated that she doesn’t know anything about fish and she would get her manager. The manager came over and also stated they didn’t know anything about cooking fish and she touched the center of my salmon to feel how cold it was. After that she agreed to take one plate off of our bill. The owner then came over to address the issue and stated that they have a new cook and they’ve talked to him about it but she would take the other plate off our bill as well. She then looked at us and asked “are you guys coming back?” My biggest complaint is that they’re serving fish and nobody knows anything about how it should be cooked. Overall it wasn’t even a decent experience which is sad for somewhere that just opened. We left there still hungry and feel like we wasted our time...
Read moreWe had high hopes for this place and were excited to give them our business being long time vacationers to Crooked Lake. We were greeted by a very nice host who did a great job making us feel welcome. We had a party of 8 and we ordered appetizers which came quickly and were not bad but not great either. It went down hill from there. We waited for our food for over an hour and were told there was another big table was on the bar side holding up our food but after checking found out that was a lie. Not cool. Our refills while waiting were slow to come and all we had in the meantime were excuses. Once we received our food finally we found that it was not even hot. The pork burnt ends were very bad you could tell that they had mixed old ones with fresh ones as some were so burnt that you couldn’t put your fork through them and some were not even cooked enough. The ribs were fall off the bone because they were so dry. Maybe we had a bad night but we felt that if we waited that long the food should be excellent and it wasn’t. They took some money off our almost $200 bill and they apologized about the wait but to have the food be so bad made it a total disappointment. The wait staff tried and were nice but we don’t want other people to get the...
Read moreWe went recently to the “steak house” side and, while the room with black tablecloths with candles was pretty, they still haven’t trained their servers! For starters, the menu is on the wall. I had no idea they had fish until we left because the fish menu was behind where I was sitting so I never saw it. Our server didn’t inform us they had fish either. We were never asked If we wanted another drink, and I have no idea if they have dessert because we were never informed of that either. Our server disappeared for a while and we had to track her down to get a box and our check. A table of four sat down next to us and were never approached, so after 15 minutes they stood up and asked if it was worth staying and we said run and save yourselves so they left. I will never understand this place, they really need to stop with all the gimmicks and just serve good food with good service. It’s just not that difficult!!! Also, if you are going to call your place a steakhouse, please monitor who is coming in to that side. We dressed up, but in came a family of four kids that looked like they just did yard work and the daughter had on shorts so tiny we saw...
