Maple + Bacon — Restaurant in Indiana

After being told it would be a half an hour wait and then waiting a good 40 minutes we were finally seated. Upon walking inside the restaurant the general appearance looks new and appealing until we were seated and instantly realized the acoustics inside the restaurant are absolutely atrocious to put it lightly and it was challenging to hear my mother/vice versa as she sat directly across the table from me. I decided to order the chicken and waffles and my mother ordered the eggs Benedict meal... The chicken and waffles was disappointing to put it lightly as the chicken tenders tasted just like pre-made frozen chicken rather than being freshly battered and fried like it should be if you're going to even bother serving chicken and waffles but I digress. My mother's meal wasn't even close to being warm when they brought it out to her and they ended up making the entire order over for her which was nice even though she said they could just reheat her meal for her. I noticed complaints about the acoustics in the restaurant in other reviews and a response from the owner saying they're going to be taking care of that by doing some kind of work to improve the acoustics in the building and I'm not sure if they've already done that or if that's still in the works because if it's already done it's absolutely horrible and I would never come back there strictly based on the noise pollution in...

First I must say the coffee was fantastic. My Ubey Spiced Cap and my wife's coffee miel were delicious. The people making the coffee were so nice. The server and hostess were kind. We say pretty quick. It only took about 15 minutes. We ordered food almost right away. Maybe like 5 minutes after we sat. It took no joke a little over 70 minutes to get our food. 4 tables got served and ate in the time it took. I got the Cheddar biscuits and Chorizo gravy. The biscuits were super dry. The gravy was decent. My wife got the hangover breakfast sandwich and it was just ok. We also tried a shortstop of pancakes and they were just ok. We have tried most pancakes in the region and these lacked. The syrup needs some improvements. They were better without it. We don't ever show we are upset and just roll with things. You would think the owner who we saw was there would atleast come and apologize bare minimum. We say him do it with others who waited less time than us.

Avoid if you are planning on going with a group. Came with a group for a bday. Reservations were made in advance. They didn't have anything set up in advance. We waited over 30 mins past our reservation. Due to lack of planning, the incompetent hostess staff sat half of our party a one table, then the other half of the party at another table (15 mins AFTER the first part of the group was sat), but at a separate table. One table had ordered their food before second group was even sat. Table 1 sat 30 mins after reservation, table 2 sat 45 mins after reservation. Some had to leave shortly after food got there because 45 min delay, how long it took staff to take order (and honestly show up at the table at all), and how long it took the food to get to the table. Hostess staff was horrible. Orders were all messed up. Payment was all messed up. Food was blah. I've worked in the food service industry, and there are are always good and bad experiences. This place is one big bad experience.

Parking is also a nightmare. Cute decor, nice concept but overshadowed by poor service, high prices, and lack...
