Oakdale Dam Inn — Restaurant in Indiana

Servers were in the struggle bus last night. Google claimed they were open until 10pm, so we headed up and got the at 8:40pm. Stood at the greeter stand for about 10 minutes with several ladies walking near us and a man rolling silverware staring at us several times. Nobody said a word. Finally, a lady asked another lady(Angie) if she could seat us. Angie did, and said “u need to get your order in quickly. The kitchen closes soon”. My 2 21+ sons and I got a seat in the bar, waited 15-20 minutes before I could flag Angie(not a waitress) down from across the bar and asked if we could order(3 waitresses zipped my our table 5-6 times in the meantime). She said she’d take our order even though she’s not waiting tables. She was very friendly. My son ordered a Dam Burger with American cheese plain and stated “I only want cheese on it,” to clarify, and she wrote it on the busy ticket she was writing on. When another lady brought our food, his burger was loaded with veggies. 3 juicy long cut dill slices that were sunk into the melted cheese, and a juicy tomato that was all over the bottom bun. He said he wouldn’t eat it. I asked her to make another and she came back about 1.5 minutes later saying “I stole someone else’s!”…all she did was change the buns. There were clearly pickle lines still in the burger and the bottom smelled of tomato. The bill was $81 for 3 meals and no alcohol except 1 High Noon. I tipped 25%…but it was definitely a weird move on that waitresses part. We stopped at McD’s on the way home for my 22 year old. I know he should man up and eat the burger, but if you don’t like veggies you don’t and should be able to order how you want. My ribeye was excellent, my other son’s C fries steak was good. I moved up here on Tippecanoe River in July of 2020. I was up there alot because my family & I used to go there. We totally know our fish. Especially whole catfish. We can eat it like chicken right off of bone. Fins & tails included. Later in months they changed owners. That's when it got worse & I didn't go back. Prices skyrocketed & food was terrible. I went about a month ago & I got lucky. The catfish was awesome. Of course, very expensive. I went to the owners others restaurant & I was disappointed with the chicken wings appetizer & I will never go back. First time there. I expressed it to the new bartender. That was across the street from madam carroll. It was so gross & I ask for flats & they brought me 99% of the other. SO...so some of these restaurant should offer refunds when they screw up. Great at Oakdale that last time. But awful at the other place. We are tired of paying high prices when your cooks do not know what they are doing. Would you rather make it right? Or lose customers? You tell me? I am coming back to Oakdale in the next few days to try my favorite 3 whole catfish dinner. Let's hope I brag again. Thanks...

Went on Father's day for the prime rib special we had a reservation once we were seated it took 25 minutes for the waitress to come to our table we were not given menus. We ordered drinks she brings our menus when she brought out drinks. 15 minutes after we ordered drinks we ordered the special she was not aware of I had it on my phone. We ordered an appetizer when 20 minutes later we get the appetizer. When we are almost finished with the appetizer she comes and tells us they are out of the special and out of baked potatoes, by now it is 6:45. So we tod her to give us our bill for the 2 beers and the appetizer. She was very nice and kept saying she was sorry, and then told us it was her first night working there it was not her fault at all. They should have planned thier special better since it was advertised on thier web site and on local restaurant page. Will not...
