Pips Pub — Restaurant in Indiana

On a road trip with my husband and 4 month-old daughter, we decided to give Pip’s Pub a try. We arrived and realized that Baby had a diaper explosion all over her outfit and carseat… Being first-time parents we were embarrassed as we carried our baby in, wearing soiled clothing, and asked if they had a changing table. Without a second thought, Chastity came to help us with paper towels, baggies, and asked if we needed baby wipes. She then literally HELPED ME change my baby’s VERY soiled diaper with a smile and kind words. She then asked if we would be eating there, and when I said yes, she got our table ready for us, came back to me and Baby and insisted to clean up the mess while I took Baby back and got seated. She made me feel so welcome! She was not even our waitress. Our waitress was nice, too, by the way. We ordered Chicken On The Beach and a Buffalo Chicken Sandwich with fries. Delicious , all around. The fries were seasoned, with just the right amount of crisp. The Buffalo was delicious and spicy, so be prepared for a kick if you order that! Very reasonably priced, too. As of February 2024 there is a surcharge if you pay with card, so bring cash if you have it! Will DEFINITELY stop at Pip’s when we head...

Used to be a Denny’s. My first time here. They did a very good job in the remodel. I love the outdoor seating option. Overall, very clean. Good parking. I noticed a lot of fried food options and this is what they are best at. I got the cheese-stake and fries. The fries are some of the best I’ve had. Bobby Flays grill restaurant didn’t make fries this good. The cheesesteak it’s self was decent. They buttered and seasoned the bun which was good. The meat was good. The peppers and onions were a bit overdone so I couldn’t taste whether I was eating peppers or onions or meat. But it didn’t taste bad, just wished I could taste the toppings.

The service was good. Seemed to be one guy running the lobby and he did great. The restaurant wasn’t busy so we’ll see how they do in a dinner rush.

Price I was initially confused when seeing that entrees were cheaper than some of the starters. But the starters are some of the best stuff they make. So I understand now.

It’s a very nice restaurant I’ll be referring my friends and family to as a nice place to eat...

Tell your friends! Good food. This place has been open about a year and I had been meaning to try it out and finally got the opportunity. First off, the place was clean and had a nice vibe to it. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. My food came out fresh and hot, it wasn’t too busy when I was there. People go back and forth on the fries. Personally, I loved them. They were regular potato fries, but the seasoning must have some sort of sweetness(nothing overpowering) in the mixture, and it makes for a unique blend. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich was so good I would order it again. This is a nice place to stop and eat if you are traveling through on 41 or heading by on 64. If you are staying in one of the three hotels in that little area, it would be a great place to eat. They have a full-service bar and you are within walking distance. They have a big outdoor dining area, could be a cool place to hang out...
