Literally the best meal that I have ever had. Ever. Less than one mile away from the Hampton Inn where I stayed, this is a little sample of what I ordered;
Appetizer: Italian stuffed mushrooms with goat cheese. Free bread (2 slices of some special kind of white bread and a rye bread with oats sprinkled on crust with some kind of fruit baked in and finally I slathered all of it in butter), and a bowl of incredible French onion soup (see picture comment for more details).
1st Libation: 6 degrees Pinot Noir
Entree: Veal Capellini: sautéed veal cutlets served over angel hair pasta with capers and shallots in a white wine butter sauce
Final libation(s): Back Roads microbrew dark and creamy stout. I absolutely love microbrews and this hit the spot.
The food and service made me feel like a king. I will be sleeping like a...
   Read moreI was there for a Christmas party downstairs. I know the company that had the party paid good money for the space and meal. The food was VERY disappointing. This is also coming after a second experience with the exact same issue. I was honestly pretty shocked about the poor food being that this restaurant has a good reputation with the everyday menu. There was absolutely no taste in the prime rib, some kind of garlic fettuccine noodle dish and ham. I tasted the chicken with some type of red sauce.... same thing. The only thing that tasted like you would expect was the salad and that is pretty much a given anywhere. The staff was excellent and the space was nice but I really feel the food quality was poor and truly hope the company wasn't hit too hard with that expense because I am more than sure they expected better and...
   Read moreWhat a wonderful place! Fantastic food, service and great adult beverages. Five of us went to dinner and had never been seated in the upstairs back room with a fireplace. So of course you may be thinking you'll be getting cold food. Not the case here. 3 12 Oz. medium cuts of Prime Ribs. Done to perfection. Great horseradish cream and special Garlic mashed potatoes. The Sirloin Strip was exactly how it was ordered, well done but still looked tender and juicy. My Chicken Marsala over Angel Hair Pasta was very good but I do like more of a reduction on the sauce. No dessert because we all ate the delightful plates of a light white bread and pumpernickel. So nice to see people going out again on a Saturday night. Looking forward to...
