We had a pleasant experience at Awet Major! We ordered two platters for three people to share among six of us, and it was more than enough—we left stuffed with plenty of food still on the table. The server was absolutely wonderful, and the chef, who also happens to be the owner, was so sweet and welcoming. New place started by previous owner of Major restaurant that uses to be on Mickley Ave. Taste, quality, quantity and price were all perfect. Menu was very small and different from Major, but the lady running the restaurant was more than happy to make something off the menu if it was something you remember eating at Major previously. I was in town for a couple days and i really enjoy Ethiopian food. This place is newer so i wanted to try it. I met the owner there who said she has several of these restaurants. I must say: this was the best meal ive had! Spicy Beef tibs & the lentils, cabbage and other veggies. Everything was cooked just perfect, tender and the spices popped from each dish.
