The staff were courteous attentive and likeable for the most part. Our waitress was quick to try and rectify a problem that I had with the meal, which is something I always appreciate. I also liked the atmosphere and the aesthetic, it was very cozy and retro.
With that said, if you are a gourmand, this restaurant is NOT for you. I ordered the Cherry Sour Cream Crepes, with an added side of sausage links. The sausages were basically inedible. I have eaten better breakfast meat at most free continental breakfasts offered by even inexpensive hotels I've visited. Not only was the taste unbearable, it was evident that they were almost entirely made of grease and gristle, with actual meat seemingly too precious to include. The crepes themselves were passable, but the cherries were a cheap canned variety that mainly only tasted like sugar.
My fellow diners were similarly unlucky. One of them ordered a meal with biscuits, gravy, and hash browns which were obviously just the warmed-over contents of a freezer bag. You get the idea. The food ranged from poor to mediocre.
You will probably pay slightly less here than at other restaurants, but be warned that too much frugality comes at a cost when...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had a really great breakfast at this spot this morning. Locally owned and operated, they are really doing a nice job here, and I loved the whole vibe and recommend it to anyone who wants some classic diner breakfast. I can't wait to go back and have some of their lunch and dinner items. Formerly the "Man vs Food" famous Edward's Drive-In, the have revamped into a full on 50's Diner vibe. Staff was welcoming and food was great. Our server Mauricio was attentive and kind, and I learned the greeter was an owner's mom. She makes their soups in house! My daughter had Banana pancakes she loved, the hashbrowns were great, the pancakes super fluffy and tasty, and everything was cooked just right. A wide range of customers and all the food looked great and everyone just happy and friendly. Cool 50's era rock and a true east coast diner vibe from my childhood growing up in Brooklyn. Right down to the multiple family members working at every level of the business, and some menu item made by Grandma (usually soup). If you want a great meal in a nostalgic atmosphere for your everyday breakfast and diner classics - this...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePlease read if you are considering this place! Me and my gf came here for our first time and werenāt sure what to expect. We were greeted and seated right away and instantly met with kindness. The waiter was super nice and helpful with recommendations. The atmosphere of the place was amazing. Older style with nice music. This place was probably the cleanest diner that Iāve ever been in. We got out food put in fast and we like to play a game on my gfs phone while were waiting for food and we didnāt even get through one round before our food was at our table. So less than 5 minutes for our order to get put in and reach our table! Usually with such speed, the food is burnt or not cooked right but everything came out perfect. It may sound like Iām exaggerating, but Iām not. All the food tasted great! To top it off the food was well priced and there was sooooooo much of it. So to sum everything up great food, fast service, fantastic service, clean, and excellent atmosphere. What more can you ask for from a place. They definitely have earned some new...
