Westside Pub — Restaurant in Indianapolis

First of all I'd just like to state I've been coming here since it was Sully's. First Day opening as Westside Pub I was there. I've been here on nights they were doing shoot outs in the front parking lot. Still I've never left a bad reviews. Last year or so things have changed. Everyone is pat down upon entering which, not bad, what's got them the bad review is how poorly we were treated due to them 'not knowing us' and deciding it's more important to flirt and try and work over the drunk men than hand us watered down drinks while the men bragged about how strong. Then the forced gratuity. I always tip $20+ and have NEVER been forced to pay that. When asked she said everyone has to pay it, which I knew new people had to due to being bad tippers. Needless to say I left usually spending $200+ only spending 6.60 on one single VERY WATERED down drink.

Still forcing INSANE...

Ordered through their website via online ordering. Order was confirmed and my card was charged. Get to the pub and am told they don’t have an order for me. I showed where my card was charged and I was told I have to contact Flipdish which is the online ordering system the use. Asked how I do that and got a flippant answer of I have no idea. I leave to try to figure out how to do that and as I am looking it up, I get a text that my money was refunded by Westside Pub. WTH? I thought they didn’t have my order. I get it, it’s a pub and I don’t expect warm and fuzzy but how about ask me what I had ordered and make it for me….they had my money already, that was obvious. We had ordered takeout once and the food was great, wanted to have the food again but we will not be going back. I know they won’t know the difference but I would not place a takeout order...

My first experience of the place was very welcoming. I was greeted when I walked in and since it was the middle of the day, it was not overly busy. After placing an order for grilled chicken salad and wings, my food came out quickly and tasted amazing. I watch what I eat for allergy and diet purposes and the chef was outstanding in customizing my order. The food tastes like it's handmade in house and NOT like other places where it tastes like it comes from a can or is frozen. The interior has an older style but is clean and there is plenty of space. Since then, I visit regularly in-between shifts to catch a quick bite before going back to work. My recommendation is to call ahead to see how busy they are and plan accordingly if you are visiting or eating at night since it can be...
