Mickey's Place — Restaurant in Industry

I wish I could tell you how the food was, but I never made it that far. Why, you ask? Because the moment I walked in, I was met with the kind of full-body stare that makes you wonder if you accidentally walked into a cult meeting… or someone’s very territorial family reunion.

And I don’t mean one or two curious glances. No. I mean everyone … from the guy standing two feet in front of me to the ladies chowing down across the room … turned their heads in unison like I was an alien invading their home and they continued to stare.

Not a single “hello” from the staff. Not a “how can I help you?” or even a fake smile. Just blank stares like I was interrupting something sacred. Honestly, I felt like if I had sat down, a secret bartender gong would’ve been struck and I’d be voted off the island.

Moral of the story: if you’re not a regular, prepare to feel like you just crashed a very unfriendly family dinner. Maybe...

I am grateful for this place. Hamburger and fries are incredible. Note that is a real hamburger regardless of how you get it. Big boy on what I think is ciabatta bread. Somehow it's perfectly seasoned and cooked perfect, it defies logic and you gotta try it. Sides are great, onion rings and hush puppies. Calzones are great. Pizza is not bad. Folks running the joint are friendly. Looks like a cool place to watch a game too. Parking is cool as you can exit directly to the road from the front spots. On a personal level, having this place where it is is saving my hide as I'm working a big project and don't have a ton of time to get to beaver. Please give this place a shot. Great takeout option, done in 20 min. Prices are reasonable. If you stay at the Willows, you could get there...

Grumpy bartenders don’t let you visit your father in law if you forgot your ID in your car. Didn’t order and wasn’t trying to order anything but was approached with attitude. Already had a couple drinks down the street cause they know us, never liked this place much anyways that’s why they don’t know me. Won’t be back with my ID anytime in the future. Now I’m hearing she’s always rude. I understand not having my ID on me is a problem, I would’ve left happily if I were treated with an ounce of kindness, but the attitude right off the bat was absolutely uncalled for and disrespectful I didn’t say a single word to her at any point and just walked out.
