Sign says welcome to our home. Well next time I come over let me do the cooking. I asked for my burger cooked not burned. So it wasn't juicy. I asked for mayo, they gave me mayo the size of a sewing thimble. The plate also came with coleslaw. Once again the serving size was very small about the size that most restaurants would put ketchup in and it was soup. It was coleslaw soup and it was n't. Nothing but sweet. You might as well put sweet tea, Southern sweet tea and mixed it with cabbage and put it in a portion cup and said that was coleslaw. Also asked for mustard with my burger. Well they give you mustard from the Dollar general. It says clover valley on it. I'm pretty sure I can get better mayonnaise and better mustard and ketchup than they have here from Sysco, but I doubt they know who Sisco is. The atmosphere was nice. The waitress was friendly, sort of and then to insult you even more. They add a 3% credit card charge and don't give you a cash discount option of 3% which is actually illegal. And I know it's against Visa Mastercard rules but a lot of these places don't care I didn't see anything that would scare me not to eat the food here. My wife's food was okay looking and probably more delicious than mine. I will say it tastes like they added lime to the potato salad. I tried some of hers and I did see some other guests onion rings and either they overcooked them or they haven't changed the oil on the back for a long time cuz they were on the side of dark brown almost black. The onion rings the way they came out and one of the ladies next to us who sat down said that the seat was hard as unless you said a bad word. Also noticed that the beverages appear that they're in cans. I don't know. I ordered water. It was a hot day. Joe, I don't know if it's going to cost you more for refills since they're in cans, so my overall experience is about a three out of five. I might eat here again. I might not ever. It's not really on the top of my list and I couldn't say anything was unhealthy to eat or like any kind of health code violation that went wrong or anything. But yeah portion sizes for condiments were very small. Stuff was from the Dollar general and the coleslaw was not very big portion size and it was soupy and gross and the burger was overcooked and not juicy and that's it. Oh, and they charge you the 3% on your credit card which I find is unethical. I know that it's against Visa MasterCard rules because it's supposed to be. If you do that, you're supposed to say that there is a cash discount program etc etc. They really need to talk to their merchant account holder and get clear...
Read moreWhen we walked in someone from the back of the restaurant yelled to ‘sit anywhere you like’. We sat near the entrance at a table in front of the AC mounted on the wall. We soon realized the AC was leaking down the wall creating visible lines where dirt once was.
We ordered our food. My son got spaghetti and meatballs and I ordered breakfast. When the waitress brought my plate she handed it to me and quickly took it back. I got a glimpse of some blue lint looking material was in my sausage. She went to the kitchen and dusted off my sausage patty then tried to convince me that the 3 seconds it took to walk out of sight and back in sight that more sausage was cooked. My son couldn’t even eat the spaghetti it had a funky smell to it. We barely ate it was that bad.
The restaurant was in need of a major cleaning and repairs. I glanced in the kitchen on my way back from the restrooms and it was disgusting. We paid and tipped because in all fairness the waitress was very nice. Will never go back again!

Read moreAte there several times and always left a great tip. Our last time there I ordered the flounder dinner and was served either swai or basa, an inexpensive Vietnamese catfish, farm raised in the very polluted China sea. I complained to the waitress and she became very irritable telling me that the fish was farm raised and that's why it resembled the catfish. I don't believe flounder is farm raised anywhere. I've been around the block several times, have caught and eaten my share of flounder. It is pretty disturbing that they would do this. Another restaurant in crystal river tried to pass off skate as sea scallops. I immediately told the waiter to take It back and that it was not scallops. I then ordered shrimp and the dinner was delicious. The manager apologised and only charged us for 1 meal, then threw in Free deserts. She said the box did say scallops. Whatever the reason, I was satisfied that they took care of us. I guess you have to beware of what you are getting. Rest assured we will not return to...
