My husband and I used to eat at The Junction in Landrum regularly, driving from Simpsonville because we loved it so much. The last several times we've gone have been just awful and today was the last straw. Today, just as in the past, they were short staffed. Now, that's understandable...at times and that's why we kept going back hoping things got better but it hasn't. It was difficult getting beverages and there was very little food on the bar and many things wasn't even replenished the entire time we was there. It's not cheap to eat there so I do expect to get what I paid for and I didn't today & the same thing has happened in past visits. I'm so sad because we used to really love this place & took our out of town guests there. We won't be going back. One thing I have noticed from reading through the reviews is that MANY of us at one time LOVED this place but have on several occasions had nearly the same negative experiences. I've also noticed that there has been no feed back from management addressing any of our concerns/statements. That's sad as it seems many of us were loyal & regular patrons. If you don't take this as constructive criticism and make some changes your business will begin to fail. Also, it would be good customer service to show you care about your customers by a addressing our concerns & negative experiences. Your loyal customers are what keeps you going....
Read moreI know that anyone who loves good southern foods will absolutely love THE JUNCTION. The food is wonderful, service is terrific, and you meet wonderful people from other places. Oh, did I mention that the food is just FANTASTIC and it is buffet style, so be sure to go hungry. On Sunday they open at 10:30am and you pay as you enter. You can then usually find your on table an one of the young ladies that will be taking care of you will bring your drinks ,eating utensils , and answer questions about your meal if you have any. Every third weekend the menu will change a little by rotating one of the meats. The fried chicken is always on the menu , but one weekend it'll be roast with potatoes an I believe carrots, then the next weekend will change to ham, and then to turkey. All of the choices are just wonderful. Plus you get fried green tomatoes, what my family use to call soapy corn, string beans , fatback , yams (of course), and there are more. Of course you can not forget the deviled eggs, salad bar, and the dessert bar which includes ice cream. Like I said before, you want to go in hungry but I don't think you will have to stay that way . Oh, you also can get take out if your still hungry or want something else later. I just know that you'll have a terrific experience going...
Read moreBad experience with this place. After we drove for 3 hours from Atlanta to meet my family at Travelers Rest we asked for a “good” restaurant to go to. They recommended The Junction. We got there the cashier was nice but from then on it was awful! We walked into a dining area and was waiting for the sever to finish cleaning a large table which we wanted for our group. She said no theses are held for large groups (DUH????). The left hand side was already closed and it was 2pm in the evening and she holding this for large groups? We had to sit on the “Poarch” in front of a stand fan making the God awfulness noise you ever heard. But the food…AWFUL!!!! Cold and there wasn’t that much to really choose from only two meets and one was ….CHICKEN! Deserts were gone had to wait for that. Got ONE tea refill. I know my family felt embarrassed recommending this place for out of town to go to. Maybe the servers need a class that when a guest has a request they might not always be local people. Next time we come to S.C. we WILL NOT eat...
