WaBa Grill — Restaurant in Irwindale

I tried to redeem a reward on the Waba app at this location. I wanted a steak bowl ; however, the server told me that the reward was only good for a $7.99 chicken bowl. After I got the receipt, I noticed that it said that I was able to receive a "Fee Entree up to $8.99." The steak bowl I wanted was $8.99 so I asked the server if I could switch my order. She said no, the reward was only good for a chicken bowl. I insisted and she called her manager and was told the same thing. I let them know that this was false advertising, but they blamed the reward redemption issue on their system. At this point, I was tired of arguing over $1.00 and I left the store.

I'm including a copy of the receipt which clearly shows that I was eligible to redeem my reward for a steak bowl. The name of the server I talked to was Diana and the name of her manager was Tony. I hope someone is able to clear up the system issue they seem to be having at this store before they get sued for false...

Cashier Ivan G on 2/25/25 1300 hrs gave me the worse service since I've gone to this location for a few years... this "guy " was literally rushing me as I was ordering trying to figure out what options I wanted on the particular meal I ordered. No customer service skills whatsoever bottom line is I'm not coming here anymore to pay the wages for a person like this who has an attitude problem and doesn't say a damn word and I don't know what the hell's going on with my order he just throws the bag at me with no condiments. What's more disappointing is I served this country for 8 years and to deal with this type of people really disappoint me especially everything I've dealt with being a first responder. Owner of Waba Grill Irwindale if you read this I hope you correct this person's behavior and explain to him he needs to learn how to be a better person and not have an attitude for whatever stuff he's going through...

• UPDATE 12/20/2021 11:09 AM * _a different cashier girl was courteous & polite, and explained me that this store sells red sauce in a mini cup for .60 ¢ each. i think that acceptable, but SB store gave me 2 Mini cups free. _ family meal ordered. Red sauce not strong enough (see pic not red red like other stores do).. sigh.. but acceptable since employee was not rude like last time . Thnx

• UPDATE 11/17/2021 11:30 AM * _ got my waba family deal from San Bernardino WABA off 215 near 15. _ EZ 18 wheeler street parking & super Friendly staff there. _ also clean restroom for customers

UPDATE 11/17/2021 9:15 AM _ CAME BACK FOR FAMILY SIZE FOODS, BUT RESTROOM CLOSED ACCORDING TO FEMALE CLERK. _ SIGN ON RESTROOM DOOR CLEARLY INDICATED RESTROOM FOR CUSTOMER ONLY. MANAGER NEED TO REMOVE FALSIFIED INFO
