El Patio del Indio Café Bar — Restaurant in Isabela

We really wanted to love this place as, what I presume are the owners, are really nice people and since we live nearby we saw the nice transformation of the locale. The place is SUPER CLEAN and cutely decorated. Kudos for the taste level! But confused at the bachata music at full blast rendering the ambiance discombobulated. Extensive menu with all day brunch items available. Not authentic Mexican (my bad; it’s fusion). We ordered shrimp empanadas that were tasty although a bit raw on the edges and chewy. The sauce in the filling was delicious but something was off; not crispy enough maybe? Never trust a Pina Colada with whipped cream (was ok; not great). Husband’s sangria was horrible; all brandy or rhum, no fruit/wine flavor. Unbalanced flavor. Get a beer instead. Fish tacos with dry fish that were insipid except for the sauce on top (sauce is delicious but not flavoury enough). They were very generous on the filling so they were messy to eat. Salt and pepper made them ok (not great).

The winner was the pumpkin pancake dish. We told them we wanted it as dessert with coconut gelato. Unfortunately served almost right there with our tacos and gelato was all melted by the time we finished the main course. ☹️ We noticed the burgers and those looked really good. Visitamos este lugar el 1 de agosto de 2025, justo cuando comenzaban a llegar los visitantes para la residencia de Bad Bunny en Puerto Rico—¡y la ambientación fue perfecta! Música del Conejo Malo, un espíritu festivo contagioso… solo faltaba que él entrara por la puerta.

Este espacio es un paraíso rústico y moderno a la vez, rodeado de naturaleza, con un diseño hermoso, áreas limpias, baños de lujo (¡en el campo!), y un ambiente fresco y relajado ideal para familias, amigos o parejas. El mobiliario es comodísimo y el espacio está impecablemente mantenido. Cuentan con rampa de acceso para personas con impedimentos y amplio estacionamiento.

La comida es fresca, abundante y con sabores que están on point. Hay variedad para todos los gustos: cocina mexicana, puertorriqueña, hamburgers, sándwiches y unos frappés espectaculares. Probé el cappuccino más grande que me han servido jamás. ¡Una experiencia deliciosa de principio a fin!

La atención fue de primera. Nuestra mesera, Wallyshka, fue súper amable y atenta en todo momento. Y un detalle que me encantó: la propietaria, Joceline, se presentó en la mesa, conversó con nosotros y hasta nos regaló unas pegatinas que enseguida pusimos en nuestras botellas de agua. Ese tipo de hospitalidad no se olvida.

Ya están trabajando en futuras expansiones y nuevas ofertas, así que no tengo dudas de que este será uno de los sitios favoritos tanto para los locales como para los turistas.

We visited on August 1, 2025, right as visitors started arriving in Puerto Rico for Bad Bunny’s residency—and the atmosphere was on point! His music played throughout the space, creating such a festive vibe that we joked the only thing missing was Bad Bunny himself walking through the front door.

This place is a beautiful blend of rustic and modern, surrounded by nature, with thoughtful design, impeccable cleanliness, luxury bathrooms in the middle of the countryside (!), and cozy, comfortable seating. The environment is cool and refreshing, and there is ample parking and handicap accessibility.

The food was fresh, flavorful, and generous in portions. There is something for everyone: Mexican food, Puerto Rican dishes, burgers, sandwiches—and the frappés were spectacular. I also had the biggest cappuccino I have ever been served in my life. Everything was delicious and served with care.

Our server Wallyshka was incredibly friendly and attentive, and a special moment was when the owner, Joceline, personally came to our table to greet us, tell us a bit about the place, and even handed out fun stickers that we immediately placed on our water bottles. That kind of personal touch makes a difference.

They have exciting plans to expand and add even more offerings, so I have no doubt this place will become a top favorite for both locals and visitors alike.

If you're on the hunt for mouthwatering food and delicious drinks that won't break the bank, look no further than El Patio del Indio! We drove about two hours from San Juan, but it was 100% worth it! Make sure you try the fish tacos!
