North Gate Grill — Restaurant in Island Falls

The North Gate Grill is a hidden gem, located, of all places, in down town Island Falls, Maine. It looks ordinary from the outside, but inside, is a different story. The dining area, is spacious, but cozy, and in the back, you can see the river falls, and eat outside, if you wish, on the deck. The inside, is heated by a massive stove, making the inside quite comfortable. I had the haddock dinner, for $15.95, with mashed and salad. What I got, was a huge piece of fried haddock, as long as the plate, and some of the best ive ever had. Friday, is all you can eat, dine in only , of course, for $17.95. Its a sure bet Ill be there. Specials are posted on the wall, which also supports a Christian cross. The service is very good, and you can tell that the people working there, actually care that you are treated well! If you visit once, you`ll come again!...

Can’t see this place staying open long unless they get a new cook. Tried them a few times because of the good reviews here and the food was consistently bad so either fake reviews or I caught them on a bad day 3 times. Soggy fries, greasy undercooked pizza and don’t even bother with...

Northgate Grill is everything I want in a diner. I had a beautiful chicken parm sandwich with housemade fries. The chicken was crispy, the fries were delicious, and the service was friendly. It's nice to have another excellent off-season eatery...
