This place is an absolute atrocity. I have never been angry about a bill from a restaurant before in my life, and I never expected the first time to be over one worth $40.
The food was an offense to mankind. It's Sunday, so they had the menu closed; buffet only. Anything with potatoes was watery, and the chicken served was bordering on flavorless. They had two rows of food on each side, so to reach the back row, people have to reach over the front row of food, which completely violates everything we know about food safety and disease vector control, not to mention the mixing of different dishes from stuff dropping off the scoops.
You charged us $40 for two drinks and two buffets, for food that was unsanitary, tasteless, and small in variety, and had the AUDACITY (Yeah, we read other reviews) to shame a customer that left a poor review because they walked out after receiving drinks without paying for them, because you took forever to get them their food.
Let me make sure it's well clarified, since ownership seems to have some issues with comprehending conflicting opinions: Your food is absolute dogsh**, and you're robbing people over it.
To everyone else reading this review, don't risk it. There's another cafe down the road. This place has got one foot in the grave, and the other one is in the mashed potatoes.
EDIT: Read the next 1 star review below the next one, and see how the owner responded. This place is a disgrace, the owner is an absolute coward, and I think the best part of this restaurant was when the doors were locked and the lights were off. Kudos to Sheryl, who had the courage to share their opinion on this place, and shame on the ownership for their cowardly, petty response.
Edit #2: Forgot to mention, but speaking of bacteria and diseases, the HANDLE of the mashed potato scoop was in the mashed potatoes when I went up there to get food. How in the hell do you let that sort of thing happen as a PROFESSIONAL food service?? Absolute negligence. I'll be contacting the...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I stopped by here on our way back from San Antonio because my girlfriend absolutely loves frogs. The atmosphere of this place is very nice and fitting for this small town. Our waitress Holy was very kind however due to some unfortunate circumstances our food took 45 minutes to come out while the restaurant was quite slow for a Friday night. Our waitress was great but the other 3 blonde girls were too busy standing around talking and flirting with the cook that Holy had to run around taking care of the other 5 tables in the restaurant while the others only took take of a small table of 4. Whoever runs this place needs to recognize Holy for her service to this place especially given the fact that she doesn’t work up front normally. The other workers here need to get off their butts and actually work or realize that if you are going to stand around and talk don’t do it at the front counter where everyone can see you. The food was good and...
Read moreI had a burger and fries. The burger was disgusting. The fries were the only good thing on my plate. The waitress tried to rush us out of the restaurant. We were not even close to being done eating and she gives us the check and stands there waiting for me to pay. I told her when we were done with our meal we would take care of the bill. The waitress had a attitude after that. Why is this restaurant called the green frog when you go inside there are pictures of cows.. very confusing. Also the lunch menu says starts at 1030 however that is not true the menu says one thing and the people inside said 11am another confusing piece of this puzzle. It also was so cold in there only polar bears could have survived. We had to ask them twice to turn off the fans near us. I was one of the worst meals ..atmosphere and everything. It was my first and last time..My husband ordered a medium rare chop steak ..it was so well done ..it was a hockey...
