Anytime I'm visiting my Mom then she mentions going out for dinner, then mentions Kimmie's…I waste no time getting there!! 😊 I absolutely love their food, I always order my favorite, turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes, smothered in gravy!! Just doing this review has me hungry for it now!! There's no way I can even eat it all in one sitting!! The last time I was there I ordered the turkey with Swiss cheese and stuffing sandwich, again smothered in gravy. It was to die for so delicious, so AWESOME!!!!! But believe me they have a wonderful menu, allot to offer besides turkey!! lol I think the reason I love their food so much is because it tastes just like being at home!! BUT, as much as I've written about the food, the girls that work there are top rate. They're so personable, they treat you like they've known you all your life, like you're family!! This restaurant is very down to earth and has a very comfortable dining area with television viewing. But what I also love is how they've very respectfully dedicated a very large area of the dining area as a tribute to the veterans!! My hat's off to all of the people that run Kimmie's Kitchen. Together, you are what makes it what it is today, one of the best!! Kimmie's Kitchen is an inexpensive, warm, comfortable and yes a five star restaurant that welcomes you with a smile...

Dropped by Kimmie's Kitchen for breakfast got chicken fried steak with sausage gravy, eggs, toast, and home fries, on a scale of 1-10 I gave it a 8. Decided to go back the next day and have dinner, what a let down. Ordered Hot roast beef sandwich with french fries, and a bowl of chilli. First the chilli was like eating beans in spaghetti sauce, has the chef not heard of celery, onions, or chilli powder and cumin scale of 1-10 the chilli was a minus 1. So here comes my plate with what was called a hot roast beef sandwich, and french fries another total let down. The roast beef itself was decent, but served on one slice of wonder bread, come on buy some loafs of bread and cut some nice thick slices. The taste of grease the french fries were cooked in overtook the flavor of the beef gravy all I could taste was stale grease. I give the supper a 2 just because the roast beef was tender. Good place for breakfast but skip the supper. Nice...

To be honest, it's with great honor to review Kimmie's Kitchen. Kimmie is an amazing person and treats every single customer as if they are family. The staff is great and extremely friendly and kind. The Foooood, oh my the FOOD IS AMAZING! The menu is personal and everything is named after something special. Everything is delicious, for all your manly men, stop in and try my personal favorite (no matter what time of day it is) the Kimmie's big mouth burger, see if you are up for the challenge and can finish it all! For all you ladies stop in and get the French toast, my wife's personal favorite, maybe you'll be there for the competitive fruit bowl sale (always help Kimmie win). Regardless the meal or day you'll never regret making the trip to Kimmie's Kitchen, you'll only regret not going there sooner! So take my word for it and get the best damn...

This is a very local spot , a very good breakfast (served all day) spot. Just a fair lunch spot. Closes at 2pm most days. I was able to experience both breakfast and lunch here. My family had gushing mushroom/ cheese omelet with hashbrowns and toast ( very good, portion huge). Another family member had pancakes. They were light, fluffy and flavorful. I had the fish dinner, (12.99) with 2 sides, mac n cheese and hulishki , aka noodles and cabbage. Fish was huge, 1 piece, fried, flakey and delicious, but mac n cheese and cabbage/noodles just ok. Didn't leave here hungry by no means, cup of coffee was in a large cup and was very good. I would just recommend this as a really good "all day" breakfast spot.

Great little place ~ The food was very good and our waitress was busting her butt as I think she was the only one there. My only comment is it's a bit pricey for a mom and pop style restaurant. 2 sandwiches and 2 cups of soup...2 drinks $38 ($45 with tip) I get it..the prices of everything is going up but it's a bit high in my opinion. Everything else is great about this place and I will absolutely go back. Sandwiches were very good.

More on IG @table_4_2_chicago Great breakfast, friendly staff and one super big burger. I finally made it here for lunch and had a chance to try the big mouthful burger. This think is huge and well put together. The side of sweet potato fries went well together. Special thanks to the chef who came out and handed me a handful of napkins. I used every single one 😝
