I came to eat lunch with my fiance, cousin, and brother. The experience started out fine enough; we were immediately seated and had our drink order taken. The restaurant was clean. However, that's about the extent of the positives I have to say about the place. Our waitress was complete incompetent regarding the sushi on the menu and couldn't answer simple questions about them. She then proceeded to take both mine and my fiancée's orders incorrectly. She charged us for extra mushrooms when we asked for none, and she charged me for adding cream cheese to my sushi when I asked if it could be substituted for another item without mentioning that it would be an additional charge. In addition to these minor inconveniences, she also completely got my main course incorrect and then had the gall to tell me that I ordered what she gave me. She refused to even take the dish back to the kitchen for disposal when I said I didn't want it, saying that I'd said that I liked it. She openly argued with me about what I'd ordered in front of everyone, and no other employee said a thing. The food sucked, the service sucked, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. If you go here, avoid the thin blond waitress with tattooed hands or else you'll be in...
Read moreHaven’t had sushi in awhile and my brother wanted to go to the movies so we stopped by for a bite before heading to the theatre. I had the Henderson House Roll and was completely satisfied size wise as well as with the flavor and construction of this beautiful and delicious roll. It is amazing without soy sauce because the spice of the jalapeño gives an extra bite to the roll, but adding in the sauce creates a totally new flavor that kept me interested in the roll till my plate was clean. My brother had the General Tso’s Chicken and liked the mix of sauce and breading thickness on the chicken because it was not overwhelming like you would get from a takeaway. We came in at 5:30, were immediately sat when they were relatively busy, and were out before 6:30. Though it initially seems a little pricey, I would say you receive a serving portion of a high quality that is worth the money spent. My only gripe would be that the wait staff was not incredibly attentive to filling up waters, but considering that there was not an empty table in the house when we left I forgive this short fall and would greatly recommend a visit if you are on this side of Jackson and looking for a sushi roll or other...
Read moreMy son and I recently sought out a Chinese/Japanese restaurant for lunch, having noticed this particular spot during our trips to Walmart. Excited, we entered the establishment, but our enthusiasm quickly waned as no one greeted us upon arrival. After standing for a minute, I approached a woman for a menu. She asked whether we wanted takeout or to dine in, and feeling somewhat unwelcome, I opted for takeout. The interior was clean and beautifully decorated, so we decided to sit at the bar while perusing the menu. A courteous gentleman soon approached and welcomed us. Being our first visit, I chose a simple fried rice dish, while my son opted for nuggets and fries. Our total came to $20.63. Upon returning home, our disappointment grew. The nuggets resembled Tyson Dino nuggets, the kind one could easily purchase from Walmart across the street, and the portion of fried rice was scarcely more than a cup. While the cleanliness and decor of the restaurant were commendable, the lackluster service and disappointing food quality left little incentive for a...
