This is probably the coolest, most unique spot I've ever had lunch at. I'm not even sure what to compare it to because it's literally perfect. It's max 10 minutes outside of Jackson Hole, but it's totally worth the drive. The restaurant is located at the National Museum of Wildlife Art, which is a great experience itself that you can check out after lunch or while you wait for your table. You can either choose to sit inside or outside, and of course we sat outside. The patio view had me at a loss for words. It overlooks the Elk Refugee and mountains in a distance. The view itself is worth coming here. The menu is close second.
I started off with their Bloody Mary which had a pretty spicy kick, but that's the way I like it. It was served really tall glass, so I enjoyed it for the whole meal. For appetizer we had the peaches & tomato plate. It was definitely creative and enjoyable, and I'm glad it wasn't filling because the main course portions definitely will fill you up. My girlfriend ordered the Casper Power Bowl which looked absolutely amazing, and we even paid extra $8 extra to have bison meat. I couldn't decide between their Palate Burger or the Trout Fish & Chips. Our great waitress recommended I try the Trout Fish & Chips since that's her favorite, and she didn't steer me wrong. For dessert, we shared a small Lemon Posset, which is a vanilla bean cream with fresh berries served in a really small cup.
This place was perfect, and I will forever recommend it to people if I hear they're visiting Jackson Hole....
Read moreWent here in July 2021. The view from the outside terrace is spectacular, and my group was lucky enough to get the last available outdoor table. Our server had moved from Turkey to Jackson Hole, and he gave us plenty of great recommendations about the menu and about other activities in the area. The menu is.....incredible. I ordered the Bison Gyro, and another person in our group ordered the Grilled Cheese. I was slightly underwhelmed by the Gyro, but by no means was it bad. It just wasn't as good as the grilled cheese with the Jus sauce, which I was able to try and testify that it is wonderful. I would definitely recommend the grilled cheese with Bison. I would recommend ordering something other than the Gyro, not because the Gyro was bad but because everything else is so incredible. As a side, I ordered some Game stew. The Game stew was one of the best stews I have ever tasted. It was absolutely fantastic, and I would recommended shelling out the extra 4 dollars to sub the stew in as a side in leu of chips. Had a great experience, wishing this...
