Ace of Spades Restaurant — Restaurant in Jacksonville

I had heard this place had recently opened, so I decided to stop by. I was seated immediately, and the staff was wonderful. The building itself seems to still be a work in progress, as they were making adjustments while I was eating.

As for the food, it was a mixed experience. I ordered the chicken wings, which took quite a while to arrive. While waiting, I was given a bread roll that appeared to be a frozen Hawaiian dinner roll—it was still so cold that it clinked against the plate.

When the chicken wings finally arrived, they were excellent: perfectly cooked, well-seasoned with garlic and parmesan, and overall very tasty. However, the dessert was a disappointment. I ordered a peach dessert that was frozen solid—essentially an ice hockey puck. I had to saw at it with a knife and nearly risked breaking the plate. Unfortunately, it tasted freezer-burned.

I had an amazing experience at Ace of Spades! The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was super friendly, and the service was fast and attentive. I ordered the salmon with a baked potato and a vegetable medley — everything was cooked perfectly and full of flavor. You can really tell they use fresh ingredients and put care into every dish. The sweet tea was the perfect touch — nice and refreshing without being too sweet.

I saw post of this restaurant on facebook and me and my son had to stop by for ourselves, I ordered Salmon and he ordered a cheese burger kids meal, I normally don’t eat Brussel sprouts but I end up trying it out with the salmon and it was great! I also like how the salmon comes with Brussel sprouts and rice but I had the option of taking them off. My waitress was very nice and attentive.
