First I want to say I have been to this establishment before and has always been great to me. I come from out of town and like the atmosphere there. Last night, I went there with 2 of my best friends and my nephew to finally get to try Crawdads for the first time. My friends ordered some crab legs and my nephew and I got 5 lbs of crawdads. Here is where I was disappointed. They brought out my friend's food and they ate all of it and the server came over and said "We need you to move your drinks cause we need the table for karaoke" so we moved tables. About an hour and a half of waiting they finally told us it will be another 18 minutes for the boil. First time frame they told us. We told them that we could not wait any longer due to myself having to leave for El Paso and the response, in an irritated tone from the server was, "what, you can't wait 15 minutes ugh". There is a better way to speak to customers. If this server was understanding and willing to entertain our concern I garentee I would not be leaving this review. My friend left a review as well and the server that was not very nice AT ALL, sent an IM that reads

"We were not rude. I'm sorry you didn't have a good time.

"Slandering our place of work over a wait time that the waitress had zero control over? Y'all are entitled and rude" I have a screen shot that I don't know how to add to this review. Not professional at all. Do better Hot Tails and Cocktails. Management should punish this server and explain to her why we reacted the way we did instead of thinking she did nothing wrong. Your reviews will not change unless you change the servers thought. Educate them so you can be better. I'm sure these servers are great people but if they don't know they will not change. I will probably more than likely come back because their food that I've had is great. An apology from that waitress even now would probably make me pull this review down but if they don't care why should anyone else. I wish this...

Went here for the first time tonight, we got there around 7:00. We walk in and the first thing we see is no staff. No big deal, we’ve been to plenty of places where you sit yourself. We notice they have outside seating and head outside and choose a table. When we get out there we see a band warming up, live music, hell yeah. Even though we only came to eat and didn’t know there was a band until we got there. After ordering our food, one of the waitresses comes around and says they’re doing a cover fee $10 a person, which we didn’t plan on paying, because we weren’t staying for the band. Fast forward, we get our food. My boyfriend got the alligator basket (pictures below), which came with two hush puppies and fries. The alligator bites were pure breading and little to no meat. He didn’t eat it. We finish our food and go to checkout and I notice a sign that says “live music friday’s and saturdays 8pm-12”. If you’re going to charge a cover fee, do it at the door at 8pm and not 7:30 when people got their food before 7:30 and were done eating by 8:00. They had someone sitting at the door at 8:00 to obtain the cover fee. Luckily, we got the cover fee taken off of our ticket, (as did another couple who came to eat there for the first time) after the waitress expressed that she was going to “get in trouble”. It’s a really cool building, but has a lot lacking. Sad to say we won’t be back. Also, I did check their website and facebook page for information on the band/cover fee, and...

Came in at 2pm on a Sunday. Very clean restaurant. We were greeted. We ordered 2 cokes. Took awhile to get our 2 cokes but people that came in after us were served beer pretty quickly(could tell they were regs). Placed our order server was polite and helpful. Got our food and mine was wrong. Server apologized and had it remade. Both our burgers had ice cold buns. Very underseasoned meat. The rest of my order showed up after I finished my burger. Fries were hot but needed to cook longer. I ate some and just pushed it to the side. Went to smoke a cigarette outside and there was a nice patio area. Cornhole. Stage for music. Really nice out there. Went to pay and the server was charging me full price for my fries that she rang in incorrectly and I didnt even get them till after my meal. So I politely asked her about it. She at first said she didnt know how to discount and really seemed like she wanted me to pay full price for an incorrect order and it still want made properly when it finally arrived. She went to talk to someone and came back and gave me 2 bucks off. Whatever no big deal I paid and tipped and left. Sorry wont be back. Nice clean place, beautiful outside as well but the food...

What a treat! We were day drinking after. trap shooting contest and lo and behold It was time for Hot Tails and Cocktails! Everyone was so personable, and what a blessing to society it is that anyone would think to put a crawfish restaurant on the side of the highway!! What a great effort. We were disappointed not to be there for cornhole night (Wednesdays FYI) but! The lure of karaoke has got us hooked!! The beer was ice cold and very affordable. It was clean and fabuloso. Thanks to Amanda for sitting down with us, and making us feel so welcome. For those of you who "won't be back" you missed the boat. These people are cool.

Call ahead for a party of 12... get there are only 2 servers for the whole place. Two hours for food all delivered to the table at random times. All of the boils had zero to little spice. You have to add potatoes and sausage/ mushrooms separately to boil. The sausage was disgusting. The only positive side note was that the frogs legs were amazing. The waitresses did their best, but where was the front house manager. The cover fee starts at 730 on Saturdays
