We had seen an ad online for Byler's and decided to take a drive and check the place out. We arrived a little before they opened and so took a pretty drive along Pymatuming Lake. Once we went in, we were graciously greeted and seated, and attended to by Marie, our waitress. She could not have been more friendly and pleasant and made us feel welcome. She answered all our questions about the menu. First, she brought some freshly baked rolls with apple butter and whipped peanut butter to tide us over until our meal was ready. Delicious! I chose the fried chicken, and it did not disappoint! The breading was thin, crispy and very well-seasoned without being overpowering. It was fried perfectly crisp with no greasiness, and was so moist and tender inside. Even the breast was juicy. I also ordered the Mac & Cheese as a side, and it was creamy and rich. There was plenty for my sweetie and I to share. He ordered the Roast Beef Sandwich and it was outstanding. The beef was so tender it fell apart in your mouth, and the gravy was homemade - not the bagged or bottled stuff you usually get. The mashed potatoes were perhaps the creamiest and fluffiest I have ever eaten. The owner visited for awhile, and even offered some bites of their steak which we both agreed was seasoned and cooked to perfection. We came home with Apple Crumble and Butterscotch pie, which was the icing on the cake, so to speak. Their prices are quite reasonable, especially for the level of quality of the food and service we received. If traveling to Pymatuming or in the Jamestown area, be sure and give them a try. We will definitely be back! Thank you...

The food is nothing short of amazing. Every dish we tried was a testament to the rich culinary traditions of the Amish community. The homemade bread and butter were the perfect start to our meal, fresh and flavorful. We couldn't get enough of the juice, well cooked ribeye steak and ribs, packed with flavor and perfectly made mashed potatoes and delicious gravy. The chicken fingers, stuffing, salad were another standout, with perfectly fried coating on the chicken fresh food and savory.
Don't even get me started on the desserts! The pie was the best I've ever had, and the ice cream was simply divine. It's clear that everything is made with love and the freshest ingredients. Thank you for a wonderful evening spike! With love,...
