You have to ring a bell to get service... that's fine. So I rang the bell. The circle k employee told me to ring the bell for service. I told her I did. She went and checked in the back and said he must be in the bathroom. That's fine too.... when the employee finally came out of the bathroom he walked to the register grabbed an online order never spoke to me or the people behind me in line. Made a sandwich for someone who wasn't even there. When he was done. He walked over. He stood there looking at me without speaking. So, I asked if he was ready to take my order. He said yeah.... and stared at me again. He finally started making my order while just whispering.... I had to ask him several times what he was saying. How hard is it to talk to the people you have to talk to, to do your job? Next time I'm just gonna go to the dollar general to buy the ingredients for what I want for half the price. My family has stopped at this Subway several times over the years. As long as you're the only customer you can count on getting your order in no less than half an hour. Yesterday was our breaking point at the decision to never come back to this place. The young man preparing the subs was rude, forgetful of what we were ordering, and sneezing into his elbow to the point of snot accumulating on his shirt and upper lip. It was hard for me to determine if he was that incompetent, didn't care, or a combo of both. He couldn't remember what three sandwiches he had just prepared, much less how to make them. He also got irritated when he couldn't remember what the order was, while being rude and rolling his eyes when having to be reminded multiple times. Stopped to get a sub as it was the only thing on my way home from Mount Pleasant and it was 8:15. Their website said it closed at 9. When I got in to order, the lady informed me she was closed. She said she was running too behind. As someone who has worked in food service for many years I understand that precleaning to close is imperative, but it was always a big no no to refuse service if business hours that were posted were not followed.
