Sidelines — Restaurant in Janesville

Just not impressed with this place. I have been here 4 or 5 times now. The food is a hit or miss. Although last night we ordered a few appetizers and they were better than normal. The Pizza Nachos were interesting, the fried wontons were super delicious but it was missing something.

Service was pathetic. Yes it was busy but we asked for waters 3 different times. Our food was delivered to the wrong table 3 times. As I stopped them to say it was our food they ignored me and went to try and deliver it to again the WRONG table. Finally they brought it to us.

Yes there were 3 sport events going on (Bucks, Brewers, and the NFL Draft) but when we requested to have a TV changed to the Bucks game so half of our table would be able to watch the bartender was rude saying it could not be changed because the draft had to be played WITH volume. Half way through the game the TV changed? Weird. So that was a lie. I then had to go ask to have the Bucks game put on the TV he originally said we had to watch it from.

When it came time for the bill, items were wrong, the bills were messed up and we had to wait to get that straightened out as well. Overall I think this last visit just lost...

Sidelines Pub and Grill in Janesville is our go-to spot! Seriously, we love this place. It's the perfect hangout whether we're coming from a soccer game, a football game, or just want to catch the Brewers on a big screen.

First off, the atmosphere is awesome. With 13 TVs, you can always see the game, no matter where you sit. And speaking of sitting, when the weather's nice, their two patios are the place to be. We've spent many afternoons out there soaking up the sun with some cold drinks.

But it's more than just a sports bar. They have volleyball courts that are always hopping, and the food is really good! (Try the cheese curds, you won't be disappointed.) And the kids absolutely love the basketball game they have – it keeps them entertained while we finish our meals.

Sidelines just has this great energy. It's family-friendly, the staff is always friendly, and it's the perfect place to relax and have some fun after a game or on any given day. ...

Worst service ever. Went on a Sunday afternoon, it wasn't super busy. We weren't greeted by anyone or given menus so we took a seat and waited 15 minutes and no one came up to our table. We got up and asked for menus and someone came to take our order another 15 minutes later. We waited and waited for our food and started noticing people around us who had arrived far after us getting theirs. When I asked the waitress about it she said a bunch of tickets were "lost". She didn't attempt to make anything right, apologize or update us on what would be done about our lost order. We decided to leave because at this point we had been waiting so long and Culver's sounded better. The funny thing is, this isn't the first time we had experienced really slow service but we thought since it had been many years we would give Sidelines another try. Looks like some things never change. I wouldn't recommend...
