Chen's China — Restaurant in Jasper

I eat here often for lunch. Today is the second time there is no soap for washing your hands in the women's restroom. The kicker is that after I went in the restroom, the lady owner went in and came out without washing her hands. She then went stright to the food and assisting customers. I know she did not wash because I was in the restroom before her. She did not go back and put soap in the restroom either. I am a health care worker and I have seen the devastation and suffering from people getting hepatitis from restaurant workers not washing their hands. Also herpes can live 30 days on a surface. This is why we have the law "All employees must wash hands before returning to work." I will not eat here...

This place has everything you would want in a family friendly Chines restaurant; which includes a buffet option for a small fee. This is a family owned establishment with great food options and service! The service was good, the restaurant was clean, and the buffet area stayed clean. My husband and I loved the buttery potatoes, cream cheese wonton, wings, the soup options (that was my first time trying egg drop soup👌🏾 Soooo good), and the various main dishes that's provided at your typical Chines cuisine. First, my review is weighted against the other available restaurants in this godforsaken place. Jasper is a decayed small town, with empty storefronts and broken windows. Noting that...this place is awesome. Don't hesitate to stop here for good reliable food. It's probably the cleanest place in town (Hardees next door is on par) and the owners/employees are so friendly. The food is very good...and buffet a great value. You can eat from the buffet, by plates, or ala carte. Egg rolls...
