Love this coffee shop! Literally the best coffee shop in Jasper. [Yes, I’ve tried them all - I am a coffee addict after all :) ] In fact, the only place I’ve found a better latte is in Guatemala, and let’s face it - those beans were fresh off the plant, so it isn’t a fair comparison!

Love that they carry milk alternatives as the only time I get along with a cow is when it’s on my plate next to a sweet potato.

The owner works the shop herself and does a wonderful job. Every employee they have is hard working, friendly and customer service oriented. Found this shop back when they were still downtown and have yet to experience a bad coffee or poor service. Doesn’t matter if it’s 7am or 6:50pm, the service and quality remain the same.

Watch out for the double chocolate chip muffins though - they are insanely delicious - you’ve been warned!!

I also get my fresh beans for my home coffee setup from Jax. They’ll even pregrind them for you if you want them too.

Their new cafe is supper cute, with comfy seating, wifi, books and I think I even saw a game or two.

The coffee/ espresso here has such a great flavor! The baristas take just a little extra time in preparing the grounds before making the drink, and it makes a big difference. The owners take their craft seriously and are always learning the best ways to make their drinks taste outstanding!

The pastry offerings are incredible and are sourced from a local baker. The danishes and brownies are heavenly.

The cafe area is great for working, relaxing, playing board games, or working on craft projects. I have taken my laptop and worked their as well as worked on different needle point crafts with friends.

Lately, I have been attending the leadership book gathering one of the owners' hosts at the beginning of the month. This is a different type of book club in that we just discuss what we learned from the book and how we feel it can help with our lives and professional development. It's a great opportunity to network also.

I have heard that they might start hosting chess games since there isn't a chess park in Jasper. They already host various game nights like bingo (with prizes), board games, arts and crafts, and story times for kids.

Delightful and friendly staff. Cute and cozy atmosphere that is well kept and completed with a very clean restroom.

When I try a new coffee shop I always order my regular (cold brew with heavy cream). My logic being if they can't do my favorite right, then why am I here? Jax got it right. The flavor was bold without being over powering and they had heavy whipping cream, (a lot of smaller coffee shops don't stock it.)

When I try a new coffee shop, I think it only fair to try the food. Bagels and cream cheese are always a safe bet. Jax once again did not disappoint. Their bagels were flavorful and not doughy, (you know what I mean). The cream cheese was good and they give it to you in a little cup so you can put as much or as little as you want on them.
