New Jay Garden — Restaurant in Jay

I've eaten here many times and never been disappointed. The owner and his entire family are so nice and cordial which makes your visit more personal, almost like eating at home. There's a buffet during the lunchtime that has several of your favorite Chinese entrees and sides. Ordering from the menu you'll find just about anything including items for the kids, or those who aren't a big Chinese food eater. The only problem I've found is they're closed on Saturday's, there's been I don't know how many times one of us have wanted Chinese on a Saturday, but was out of luck until Sunday. Now, I've saved the best for last, one of my favorite things other than their delicious food of course is their sweet tea, it may be a Chinese restaurant but from the taste of their tea you know you're in the south. Give the New Jay Garden a chance, I promise you'll be coming back again...

The husband and wife combo brings a lot more to the menu than just food. The warm, welcome,sit down and relax feeling comes to you when first step inside and catch it emulating from them both. There is a lot more of a choice than is and has been indicated .There is a small buffet, of the days wok yield. A large full scale menu to select from as well. The food is fresh and good. Also because of the couples roots in the Far East, the food is prepared and seasoned like none you have had before unless you spent time in or around the Orient away from the tourist areas. The food and service is okay. The buffet is affordable and an option for those wanting variety. You get to choose between fried rice or lo mein and get 3 side items with it for $10 (no drink) or $11 (medium drink). I ordered a lunch special which was $7.99 and didn't come with any sides. They also offer a lunch combo for a few dollars more. The crab Rangoon was really good, but my lunch was dry. If I went again I wouldn't order the general tso or pineapple chicken but I would definitely get the Rangoon and maybe...
