Was craving some seafood gumbo and Solomon online menu that they had shrimp gumbo so I decided to stop here and give this a try. Turns out it's actually seafood gumbo on the menu with shrimp and crawfish and crab. It was served with a small scoop of rice on the side which is fine I'm not a big rice eater. It tasted okay but it was definitely not gumbo. I grew up on the Gulf Coast we've been making gumbo for decades and all of the key ingredients other than the roux were missing! There was Zero okra zero onion zero celery in this seafood soup. Pretty disappointing in that regard. Definitely would not recommend it if you're really wanting some good gumbo because it definitely fails in that regard. I order the side of hush puppies with it they were actually fairly decent although I'm pretty sure they were the Frozen bags type from Walmart. 🤨🥲 so I can check this place off my list as it's not any place I would...

Excellent place for you and your family. Great food (buffet and menu options), great staff (friendly and efficient), and fair prices. The restaurant’s interior is creatively decorated. I love the thought, art and detail of the walls/hangings/decor. I recommend the overstuffed shrimp poboy. I am usually resistant to ordering shrimp pivots at restaurants because they typically put like 5 shrimp in there and you are just stuck with a bunch of bread. But this was a whole other level of shrimp poboy and it is true to its menu name. The poboy is abundantly piled with fried shrimp. I was able to eat a ton of the shrimp before even eating it as a sandwich. The shrimp were very well seasoned (a tad spicy even ❤️) and the French bread was nice and fresh feeling. It exceeded my expectations and the fries were pretty good too. I will come again and try one of...

I drove 40 miles just to eat at this restaurant. It did not disappoint. Everything about this place was awesome!!! The food was absolutely AMAZING!!!! The buffet had mouth watering soft homemade rolls, black eye peas, rice, pork roast in gravy, DELICIOUS fried chicken, corn, green beans, cabbage, yams, cornbread dressing, rice dressing, peach cobbler and banana pudding. I hope that I didn't miss anything. Everything was fresh and hot and seasoned to perfection. This was THE BEST buffet that I have ever eaten at. I am so glad that I drove there. The 40 minutes was worth the trip. I will continue to drive 40 minutes just to eat at this place. We'll try the seafood buffet next. They have an awesome menu as well. I wish that I could eat their food every day. The customer service was terrific. NO COMPLAINTS about this place. You MUST...

Big portions of some good food, definitely recommend. We are new to the area and this place was recommended by some locals. We were worried when we pulled up and discovered it was a truck stop. We felt better when we discovered it was a 45 min wait….folks must like this truck stop! We checked out the truck stop while waited and it was nice. My father in law and daughter got the fried chicken buffet and enjoyed it. I got the full overstuffed shrimp po boy with onion rings with a sweet tea. It was all fantastic. The po boy was overflowing with big delicious shrimp, and the onion rings were so good. Oh and the sweet tea is a problem…bc it is addictive. I need another glass right now. Go check it out! We will be back! Also it’s reasonably priced!

I had a friend that lives in Louisiana, told me to stop by this place, Rascals. He said the women were nice and friendly. I went in and asked one too many questions about the food and the slender, bright skin, lady that was so called helping me got an attitude, she looked at the older white lady that was putting the food out and mumble under her breath and laughed. I told her to put the food back I don't want it. If it aggravates you for people to ask questions about your food, put names and descriptions on the food. Hell, I don't live in Louisiana, I just like the food. I was going to get some out the freezer and take back to my children because they love the Cajun too but I refuse to spend my money and be treated like that.
