I go to the lunch buffet sometimes because it's quick, easy and a decent value for your money when the food and service are good. The chicken is wonderful when it's "on". The ham is also good when they have it. The fish this last time was too done, and it was chewy..... Really weird texture to it. The mashed potatoes, corn, green beans, broccoli, rolls.... Everything is good when it's good and hot. The service is average usually. They have a hard time hiring and retaining help like every other place does right now. I never see the same waitress' twice, so turnover is probably high. Their prices are fairly in line with other buffets, about fifteen bucks with a drink. The salad bar is decent with plenty of items for you to choose from. They have a few desserts like cobbler, some pies and cakes as well as cookies, so don't expect a lot of options, but they are there if you want them. The place is usually pretty busy at lunch. Most of the time they keep the buffet stocked well and the food stays hotter that way anyhow. Overall I give it a four on most days. There's been a few days that were threes, too, but the five days are rare. I'm not sure if they still have the dinner buffet, but it was always good. I also like the breakfast buffet on the weekends. Lots of options to choose from so you can try them all without ordering a bunch of different foods. They have orange juice available as your drink, which is a good thing to me. I love orange juice. 😊 It's a local Jefferson City establishment with some history at the Missouri Blvd location decades ago. The same family owns it now as did then. Try it for yourself and see what you think! What have you got to lose?

Stopped in to try their Pork Tenderloin Sandwich, on a Saturday afternoon. They had a buffet offering, which looked good, but the sandwich was the mission of the day, to report to a Facebook group I'm in. Pretty good menu, here, and the food was good, however, the loin needed about 15-20 seconds less in the fryer to be excellent, in this case. Edges were just slightly overdone. The flavor, though, was good, there was a variety of sides to choose from, and the atmosphere was nice, with a family air to it. All-in, with drink hit me for $15, which is about the average for a good meal, with drink and tax. They have sports on some TVs on either side of the restaurant and bar, with the bar being on the right side, the buffet on the left. You are seated by a server, typically. Restrooms are by the front door, convenient to both sides of the long building. As I exited, I heard the enthusiastic sounds of a Cornhole game in progress, so that's available, as well. Service was a mite slow, but otherwise, it was a pleasant experience, overall. I do plan to visit again.

SO - good vibe if you wanna get some pub food and watch sports. The wait was pretty big though, and there weren't that many people there. Staff were super nice and attentive, but they might need more help in the kitchen. The food wasn't bad, but a little expensive for what I got - I really like their fries though. My order was their chicken tenders and fries. All in all, I'd eat here again. Maybe not every day, but at least again sometime if I'm in the area.

Picked this place because it was a halfway point for each of our travels to meet with good friends. Was hoping to order from the menu but buffet was the option. We dealt with this and went to get our food. Had to go thru about 20+ plates to find one that was not as dirty as the ones we put to the side. They literally had actual chunks of food still on them and smashed onto the bottom plates. After finding ones that were rough feeling but no chunks, went to get food, first stop was mashed potatoes. Even before grabbing a scoop of them I saw a huge hair mixed into the pile. For me, I'm done I cannot even mustard the thought of getting something else. My daughter just wanted salad so she fixed her plate and was going to get fruit but what was left did not look good so salad it was. My husband and friends got their plates and the food looked super dry. They picked thru what they could and it was said the fish tasted weird and the cottage cheese tasted off. Each had mashed potatoes on their plate but after I showed them the hair in the container, no one ate them, mind you this is noon prime lunch time why is the food so dry already? Got the check, they charged me for my plate and I didn't eat. Told the ladies about it and why and they removed it. The 2 ladies we had were super kind and did great, nothing bad to say about the staff. Unfortunately I don't go to resturants only for kind staff, I'm there to eat too but I will not be...

My wife and I have eaten at Veit's Pub & Grill several times before. The place is always clean with a friendly atmosphere. The food is good especially their giant breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches. The tenderloin has always been twice the size of the bun & always served with lettuce, pickle, tomatoes & onions. We had a choice of 1 side as well. We first started patronizing this place a couple of years ago. We were impressed by the size of their giant tenderloin sandwiches. We were in there to eat just last week & had the exact same tenderloin sandwiches, they were huge & so good! Tonight I don't know what happened. The waiter brought out our breaded pork tenderloin sandwiches & the meat was half the size they were last week! Looked like a giant had been cut in half! Also the only other thing on our plates were the French fries! No lettuce, pickle, tomatoes or onions!! I called my waiter over & complained. He got us the veggies, ok. I asked the door greeter if he was the manager he said no. I voiced my concerns to him. Later as we left he said he called the owner & the owner told him the meat is hand cut, weighed then pounded out. He said you still got full didn't you.? We drove 40 miles 1 way tonight for a treat! While the food was good. Our expectations were shot down. It is highly questionable whether not we...
