Banana Peppers Pizzeria — Restaurant in Jefferson Hills

This place has had several owners over the past few years. It used to be a sit down restaurant when Dolly owned the place, and the food and service were outstanding! However, with an aging clientele (this was a few years before the many new housing plans were developed and built) and an unfortunate family emergency, Dolly sold the place. The restaurant portion, though small, was always cozy and warm, and the staff, particularly Barb, treated you like close family. Although Dolly and Barb have moved on to other ventures, the quality service and attention to detail have continued. The newest owners have converted the restaurant to a cafe, and they serve breakfast food and drink in the AM. From lunch on, they serve excellent pizza, appetizers and entrees. Banana Peppers exceeds itself every time I eat their food. The staff is so friendly they feel like family. Everything they make is phenomenal. The pizza, pasta, hoagies, meatballs, calzones, salads anything! The tomato basil cream sauce is out of this world. They are also great at doing catering orders for large groups. Already great food for pizza, hoagies and salads. The new coffee shop is great. It is a coffee shop with a kitchen atmosphere. Just around the corner from my house. It is going to be my first stop for coffee instead of the big stores on Rt 51. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate and she really enjoyed that too.
