Rustic Mountain Pizza — Restaurant in Jefferson Township

I'm always on the lookout for a good pizza shop, and I prefer finding little mom and pop shops and hole in the wall spots that offer their own unique styles of pizza. I was passing through Somerset County and found this little place called Rustic Mountain Pizza. I stopped in and met some of the nicest folks ever! I chatted with the owner, his daughter and 2 polite young boys playing outside who both told me thanks and have a nice day as I left. The pizza was really tasty, he makes his sauce on the sweeter side, so it's almost like dinner and desert all in one bite! The crust was AMAZING and it was baked to perfection with tons of oozy cheese stretching as I pulled off a slice. The pizza was huge, and I was shocked when he said gave me the price.....as a pizza that size goes for over $20 in my hometown!! I will definitely stop there again on my next trip through, as it's not often I find a DEELISH pizza with a sweet sauce, served to me by super friendly people that actually take the time to talk to you and make you feel welcome and appreciated. Not a fan. If you dont like sweet sauce don't order pizza. WAY too sweet. Like not even a little. Way over priced like you can litterally eat at the restraunt down the street cheaper. Don't understand why certain things are homemade and others not. Buns are home made but it's basically pizza dough. Packaged dressings. EVERY order is wrong. Get a small when you order a large, missing request.... No other options but rather just drive somewhere reasonable and good.

In response to your reply, I am nothing close to fake. In fact, i've ordered there quite a few times until i've gotten burned enough times but i'm not eating here anymore. Let me tell you about this place. First off the pizza is 5 🌟! And the staff is absolutely incredible. Sis is absolutely amazing. I am currently attempting to walk across the country and they have been nothing but supportive. I happened to meet Sis and her family at Sheetz in Somerset after a 20 mile day of walking. She offered to buy me food without me asking then today 2 days later they tracked me down with pizza and ice cream for my dog and I! Then after a bad experience at a local campground they let me camp out behind the pizzeria. Amazing people who I will forever be in debt to.
