We love this place, they are great with our toddlers. 2nd time we have been here, my wife and I cannot figure out how they make money with the prices so cheap! We have had breakfast and lunch, its sort of a la carte where you just order what you would like (not reallt combos or platters). They have a sign up and have for at least 2 years stating how short staffed they are, it seems to be the norm by the locals to get your own refills and to place the silverware in appropriate cleaning bin and to throw your own trash away, which I feel like only builds on the experience and makes it feel not so touristy. Went in about 3pm, and the place was not crowded. This Diner is an authentic country diner, with a well lived in look and an atmosphere of many years open. I loved it. The waitress was brisk and efficient. I ordered the 6oz Cheeseburger with potato wedges. My friend got the burger with corn nuggets and an onion ring appetizer. The food came out shortly, piping hot. Everything was good. The corn nuggets and rings were delicious, the burgers tasty. But the wedges now, ah, they were perfection. I am not “local” although I have lived in the county for quite some time. I was treated very courteously and with friendliness.

Some one star reviews indicate that there was some hostility. Your treatment will depend totally on how you treat others. This is the South! It is considered rude to not say hello, wave or nod to everyone that looks at you. If you are rude, people will be rude back.

Negative: the restaurant is hard to find as there are no signs you can see from the road. The building is old, industrial and not fancy. But...
