Rays Hot Spot Mexican Grill and Bar — Restaurant in Jenks Township

They made great improvements inside- however I was highly anticipating the Mexican food and it was a big letdown. Me and some co workers tried it today at lunch. Insanely disappointed. Spent $23 and still had to go back to work and buy a bag of chips cause I was still hungry. No one in the group was happy with their meal (for various reasons- portions, meat was cold, order wrong etc). My bean and veggie hot plate ($14) was a scoop of dry, unseasoned rice, about 1/3 cup of refried beans and about a quarter cup of unseasoned peppers and onions…and a “salad” (lettuce and tomatoes with no dressing) which may have made sense if the meal had come with tortillas to make your own tacos…but it didn’t. The salsa and chips were GREAT- but not $5.75 (Cozumels and Taco Inc- they’re free). And of course a $3 soda. Don’t get me wrong, I HAPPILY pay for good food. But $23 in for lunch and I’m hungry and food was mediocre at best. Waited a few hours but still mad about my $23. They promised to “make it up” next time. There won’t be a next time for any of us...

I went in for an adult slushie & unfortunately their slushie machine was down. I was in town about a 20min drive from my house to see a friend as she drove through from our home town on her way to her new home in NY state, so every time we get a chance we either meet in our home town or here so I thought I'd run in & grab one to take home & enjoy figured it would stay chilled since it was hot out & I had my air full blast but they weren't serving any as their machines were all down. The bartender was super super nice. The place has newer owners looks like they are trying to fix it up, but the roof leaks. And the food is ok, not great. Its really bland Mexican food. The nachos were served cold? Cold cheese, cold chicken. The drinks were good. Won't go back for food, but...
