In all the time Kateās Food Truck has been around, I realized that I have never thought to pay Kate a visit. The hours are far more convenient than any other nearby sandwich offering of a similar caliber. Seemingly these days, I must plan my sandwiches days in advance.
The online ordering system is excellent. Seeing the technology employed to its full capability for once has been a truly illuminating reminder of the amazing world we live in.
Buyer-Beware: The tip selection buttons are arraigned in descending order- reminiscent of the fuel-grade buttons found on the pumps of some sketchy gas stations.
Arriving at this establishment I was able to promptly see a host who had my package ready, having [easily] prepaid for my order. She smoothly passed it off after verifying my identity. Making sure I was not being watched, I was able to pull off a perfectly swift and clean getaway.
It was when upon dropping the package on my counter at home, it produced an audible thud, that I instantly noticed for the first time its alarming weight. The Double-Smashburger here is a truly formidable sandwich.
It was delicious. The vegetables were fresh and flavorful, and the meat was cooked better than many far more expensive cheeseburgers Iāve crossed paths with.
I was pleased to see Kateās preference towards many of my favorite ingredients. Notably among them were both the crinkle-cut bread-and-butter pickle chips, as well as the cheddar cheese. No ingredient was served in outstandingly meager nor excessive proportion, although its tender complexions could certainly have withstood perhaps another strip of bacon.
Curiously, the onions and lettuce here are diced/shredded in a vigorously fine way, almost as if to a pulp. I feel this has been a disturbing contemporary trend and a common mark of a sub-par sandwich although my experience was no doubt far greater than āsub-parā. Regardless, I remain mystified as to why vegetables are so often prepared in this manner. I venture to suggest that Kate switch to a thin red onion slice going...

The food is fresh, high quality, and amazing. It is vegan friendly, which I really appreciate. And not just one vegan option, but plenty, including delicious vegan ice cream from Offbeat Creemee. Lots of vegetarian and meat options as well.
Iām so glad to have this food spot in our community. Iāve brought friends here (meat and non-meat eaters), and everyone loves it.
They are only open seasonally and believe they close sometime in November when it starts getting colder, so be sure to make your way over here asap! Iām already grieving them closing for the season soon and getting my fix pretty much weekly.
Thank you to John, Kate, and your wonderful staff. It means a lot to have a great spot where I and many others can enjoy options as a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStopped by here the first time for lunch. All I can say is WOW!
Lots of parking with outdoor seating. This restaurant is extremely accessible with a very wide ramp so you can go from your car to ordering without steps. Staff were all following COVID protocols and extremely friendly.
The menu is the perfect size with a number of vegetarian options. The Chipotle Black Bean Burger was excellent. I couldn't tell if it was handmade or frozen, but it was great either way. Lots of topping to choose from as well. The rosemary garlic fries were just incredible, the perfect balance of all flavors without too much of a salt flavor. Lots of dessert options, you can actually mix taps for custom milkshakes which I did to make a maple coffee milkshake.
Food came out quickly and stayed very fresh until I got home. Total for fries, 2 burgers, milkshake, couple bucks tip was only $30. What a value, I will...
