Johnson City Country Club — Restaurant in Johnson City

I went to pick up an application. When I went in,I saw no one for a 3 minutes,until the lady who heard me,told me yes,they were hiring.I asked if they had any applications.She informed me they did.She found one,handed it to me.I asked when would be a good time to bring it back.She informed me,I could just take it.When I asked what would be a good time to bring it back ,I was told I could just bring it back later.When I asked what time would be best,she replied,"Just any time."It was before the restaurant was open. She was nice enough,but I felt could have done a much better job handing out an application and setting up a time-like right then-to say,"You're hired.",or "We'll call you."& smile. Although ,there was very nice, dark,male-who was pushing a cart with a white cloth over it,dressed in white-who gave me perfect directions,from the parking lot,on how to get in to fill one out ,smiled and wished me luck-I give him 5 stars. He was fast, efficient,and very kind. There were also some men playing golf, and they were all very nice and smiled as well. This was on my way out. I smiled...

I haven't been to the Country Club for a few years so I was pleasantly surprised when served my meal at a luncheon recently. The turkey was moist and delicious, the dressing was fantastic (much better than my own), the mashed potatoes were wonderful, the asparagus adequately roasted and the rolls were good. Our dessert was an apple butter cake with cinnamon ice cream that tasted home made. The meal was so good! The only thing I was disappointed with was the cranberry sauce. It didn't taste home made to me and the cinnamon flavor was overwhelming.

The wait staff was pleasant, helpful and served our group very quickly.

With this recent dining experience, I would certainly recommend the JCCC for a luncheon and I hope to return...

My high school class recently had their 50th class reunion at the Johnson City Country Club. Gwendolyn Moore did an excellent job of coordinating every aspect of the event—food, room set-up, decorations, and audio equipment. Those of us who were on the planning committee were greatly indebted to Ms. Moore as she handled our questions with patience, knowledge, and professionalism. It was such a memorable event for our class and I would hope to plan another event...
