Triangle Restaurant of Johnston, SC — Restaurant in Johnston

My wife and I had driven from Gilbert to Ridge Spring to check out a new barbque place. Upon arriving, we found that it was already closed. So, we asked Siri for restaurants near us and it gave us 3 in Johnston. One was Triangle Restaurant and another was some 3rd Generation Catering and Restaurant. We first arrived at the Triangle, sat in parking lot and observed. Then went to the other. Upon walking to the door, we noticed that there was only one table being waited on in the entire restaurant. At that time, we decided that we would go back to Triangle where there were many tables full and a lot of takeout orders being picked up!

I am so glad we did! I got the hamburger steak with onions, salad, and baked potato and my wife got the 2 pork chop fried dinner with salad and baked potato. You cannot beat their prices for this quality of food! The salad bar may not be that big, but it was VERY fresh and had enough variety that you get one of the best salads I have had from a restaurant lately. There was NO bag junk on their salad bar. The potatoes are huge, actually baking potatoes and not those little potatoes you get at other places. We were told the owner is a butcher and he cuts and seasons all his meats. My wife’s pork chops were so huge, she could barely eat one and her salad. She took the other one home along with her potato. I only eat half my hamburger steak and potato too.

That’s not to mention all the servers and cooks, how helpful, attentive, and nice they were nor how clean this 60 year old establishment is kept. We may live 41 miles from there, but I assure you; it won’t be our last trip there. Definitely...

Was there 1hr and still wasn't served when other people came in after we did got there food ask the waitress if our ticket got lost the Cook and the cashier came to table and ask what was wrong and I told him that we had been waiting for an hr and there was three orders came one person came in after we did I explained that to them and the Cook ask if I wanted him to pull my ticket and I told him to do what he wanted to he was taking getting all the Togo orders and letting the customer s...

I have to say the food is okay but my focus isn't on the food as it is about the way some of the staff are treated. To be a manager and/or a business owner, the kindness you show your customers should also be shown to your employees. Be kind...it doesn't matter what their disabilities are if any. I will not have any restaurant on speed dial if their employees are not respected and treated the way you want to be treated. I do not believe the labor department would excuse...
