HoodRolls — Restaurant in Jonesboro

We were so excited to try Hood Rolls. We've wanted to go but it's been super busy. We drove by tonight and there was parking! Yay! I was finally going to try the seafood egg roll. We ordered the seafood egg roll, the philly egg roll and cajun fries to share. They didn't have any seafood egg rolls so we got the big back burger egg roll instead. I have to note the cashier seemed irritated. Not with us, just in general. Eyes were about to roll out of his head. We ordered to go and waited inside for our order. It took about 30 minutes to come out. We drove 5 minutes home and dug in. But, we were so disappointed. The egg rolls were small. The big back burger egg roll tasted like ketchup. It was sprinkled with chopped bell pepper, drizzled with ketchup and another orange sauce. I like ketchup but it was intense. I expected some savory flavors, not just ketchup. The philly egg roll was blan. It tasted like steakum meat. Nothing special, no flavor, no onion, bell pepper or cheese in sight. There was a sauce drizzled on top but the flavor didn't come through. All you could taste was steakum meat. The Cajun fries weren't Cajun at all. Just undercooked, unseasoned, limp crinkle fries. From the reviews online I was expecting something great. This was not it. This was fair...

First time going there & experience was awful. The girls in the kitchen wearing tank tops had an attitude with me as well as the cashier. They let us place a order on something they didn’t have in stock because it was not communicated with the cashier. My food didn’t look like the picture. Just a really bad experience all around. The first picture with fries on the plate is what I wanted! (Got the photo off of the website) the big back rolls but I was served something that looks nothing like that. I even showed them the picture. The last picture is a picture of the seafood rolls that my friend said was good, but that’s not what she originally ordered because they didn’t have it. We were the first ones in there that ordered the last ones to get our food. 40mins of waiting…. and no, the other people did not call their order ahead they walked in and ordered about 12mins after us. I was not impressed, unfortunately. And that’s disappointing cause I had...

Hood Rolls is a local restaurant nestled in a neighborhood only minutes from the freeway exit. The wings that are in the pictures of the other reviews were not the type of wings that were served to us. We had full wings flat and drum connected... no one ate any of the food. The food was cold after waiting for such a long time. The restaurant was fully staffed. Unfortunately, I dont think the staff is qualified or trained for business or not familiar enough with the menu. After an hour, wait, and an $80.00 plus ticket...we didnt have 3 items that we ordered, and they ran out of ingredients for the mac n cheese. It was not that busy. It is truly poor management of staffing.. Give it some time... we made a drive of 1 hour and 50 minutes....The manager was polite and ended up giving us a full refund. When working for a local business, the employees need to understand that their performance can make or break a business. I will give it 2 months...
