Ron's always has amazing fish. That's a given. They have the absolute best fried shrimp in Northeast Arkansas. They have a decent salad bar, and they offer the normal fare for coleslaw, pickle, onion, pickled green tomatoes, and so on. They also offer several vegetables to choose from. Several potato choices. Hush Puppies, onion rings, and french fries. They also include Fried Chicken, and they had fried pork chops as well and baked fish and baked chicken. We went on a Thursday night. They are only open three nights Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. And I believe Thursday it is a special price all day all night. And then Friday and Saturday they have a lunch price which is what it costs Thursday all day and then Friday and Saturday evenings it cost more because they have crawfish and crab legs and stuffed crab and frog legs. They do have several choices for desserts: cobblers, cakes, and pies, but my favorite they have the soft serve ice cream. If you go away from Ron's hungry, it is your own fault because it is...

The restaurant is kind of off in the middle of nowhere, but it is definitely not a secret. A lady I spoke to while at the buffet said she and her husband lived 65 miles away, and they come to Ron's Catfish every weekend! The place has a very laid back vibe, and it's nothing exciting to look at...until you look at the food on the buffet. It's southern, and most of it's fried. The salad bar has some great choices, including some of the best pickled tomatoes I've ever had, but who really is interested in salad when there are several differently seasoned catfish fillets and huge shrimp to try? The appetizer section also had great choices. Desserts looked good, but the ones that interested me were the fried pies. Talk about YUM! Staff was plentiful and courteous, and they approached often enough to clear the table and ask if anything was needed without becoming annoying. They even took an order from me to go, because their cajun catfish is...

This place is a scam. They charge you 3% for using a credit card and when you tell them two people they come back with oh I thought you said one when we both are clearly standing at the window. Then they give you the were are sorry but there isn't anything we can do so they charge you separately for the other person and another 3% for that person. They were rude and the girl at the register didn't seems to be slow or was deaf since we told her two people before she she even touched the register. My wife decided to just sit with me since they already charged me and wouldn't refund our money. Outright thieves. We will never return to this place and if you value yIur money go somewhere else like Ed's Catfish and BBQ. Way better, not over cooked catfish like this crappy place. They don't deserve stars but in order to leave at review they require at least one star. One star more than they deserve. Shame on then for...

Great place to eat a variety of catfish, but don't worry, they have some chicken too. I liked everything I had, including the Cole slaw and hush puppies. These are two things I'm pretty picky on. As another reviewer said, the food wasn't exceptional, but it was well worth the money, drink included. Just check their website to get the pricing. This was my first visit since I don't live here but I had passed by it a couple of times before and the parking lot was full and I really wanted to see why for myself since I do like catfish. I don't think a full house is a problem because there was a lot of seating and the buffet was long and accessible on both sides. If you found this review helpful, please "like it" and thank you.

I don’t live in Jonesboro, but my grandmother does. Every time I visit her over the holidays we make sure to stop at Ron’s for some delicious catfish. We have been coming here for 20 years and it has always been some of the best catfish we have had anywhere. The locals sometimes grumble that things have changed, but to us the catfish hasn’t changed much. It’s still great. I do remember that they used to have soft serve ice cream and that is gone in favor of some pre-made cups, and I didn’t see the Cajun fish variety they used to have. But these are quibbles. If you are anywhere near Jonesboro, this is worth a detour to check this place out. They are only open Thurs-Saturday

Great place to dine on, but the drive thru sucks. The past few times they did like most fast food restaurants. Tell you wait 15 minutes, just to bring you cold food. We live not even 10 minutes from there so when my wife brings my food, it shouldn't be cold cold. Baked potato and all. And the reason we don't take it back is because we figure nothing will happen because we didn't check it rite in front of them. If I get well enough to dine in, and go out the house other than doctor appointments I'll dine in.
