KJ's Restaurant — Restaurant in Judsonia

I ate there a week ago. The food is really good. They have different things to choose from. The only issue I had was with the waitress. I wasn’t happy with the girl waiting on me. 1. She never brought me a menu so I looked the menu up online. The online menu doesn’t show a specific lunch menu so I got pork nachos. How do you expect people to be able to order something without a menu. I don’t eat hear a lot so naturally I don’t have the menu memorized. I had a punch card for a free lunch plate but come to find out the pork nachos are not on the lunch menu so I ended up paying. I have worked in retail my whole life so I can say that this restaurant either needs to start handing out menus or honor the customers punch card. The place is way too loud you can’t hear what someone is asking you with everyone talking. The owner need to do something to fix it. This was the second time I visited KJ’s for breakfast. The restaurant is very clean and pleasant atmosphere. However; again my order was at best room temp when it arrived at the table. This occurred on my first visit as well. I mentioned this to my waitress who said she was sorry but offered nothing for my cold food.

I will not return and would not recommend the restaurant due to the food quality .

I decided to try this place again and once again I was disappointed. I ordered the lunch special which was smothered pork chop. When I got my order there was more plate than food… there was no pork chop just two small pieces of “pork roast” with clumps of flower and grease they called gravy. The portions were so small I left hungry. I had commented to the waitress however; she only told me that it was normal servings. The cost was $11.00 which is ridiculous for what I got!!!! Oh Well! We were traveling through to go to a ballgame. Not familiar with the area at all, but wanted a place to get a decent steak. It was around 5:30 on a Friday night and we looked up nearby places. KJ's popped and and when we pulled up, it wasnt very busy. So glad we came here. KJ's surpassed our expectations! Anna was an awesome server. She was very polite and friendly and checked on us just the right amount. The food came out quickly and the portions were great-larger than most other places. I ordered the chicken fried steak with onion rings and fried green beans and my husband got the sirloin and grilled shrimp. He said it was the best shrimp he has ever had! I don't think you could go wrong with whatever you order. Highly, highly recommend this place. Worth the drive if you're not...
