I just started working in the area, and was told that I should try their wings. So I stopped on Thursday night (wing night) and did so. I ordered a dozen, and the young lady looked at me and said, are you sure ya don't want to start off with 6? They are really big đ, so I agreed with the 6. I was glad that I did, as they were the biggest, that I had ever had. I'm not a wing freak, I'm used to the normal split wings ya get in a small town club or bar, though I have had my share of whole wings living in the suburbs of Pittsburgh for a lot of years. The Dew Drop's wings are #1 any where in the state IMO of coarse, and the reason isn't size, it's the taste of the chicken, hands down the best tasting chicken that I have ever had! Now you choose which sauce ya want, I got hot. To me hot sauce is hot sauce, so I can't say much about that, but it was a great hot sauce. The flavor of the chicken is a must try! I liked the wings and atmosphere so much, I stopped the next night, for another recommended dish, their cheese steak. Like the wings, it's another top ranking dish for me, served at the Dew Drop Inn, as a matter of fact I can't remember a cheese steak as good! The service is 2nd to none with a smile, and they are running to serve you, because they are very popular, and usually busy, so be patient, the food is...
Read more1st time here. The overall look of the place was pleasant. . A good home feeling. Definitely a locals bar, felt like outsiders the entire time we were there. Got served pretty quick, we were only the second group in there. Took a little bit to put our order in. The Buffalo chicken salad came out missing the listed vegetables. Soft pretzel came out looking like white dough, was kinda confused if it was actaully a pretzel. Burger came out looking good and juicy. Chicken cheese steak sandwhich was good, chicken needed some flavoring. Everything came out hot and pretty quickly. However, we waited a good 25 to 30 minutes to get our bill to leave. We actually had to go to the bar to get squared up after the owner or another worker stopped and asked if needed anything. The reason for the long delay was he was out of paper....but he didn't know that until we were at the bar. This was also after he stopped and asked if we needed anything else and we just said our checks, but right after he tended to other tables and forgot. Which is understandable, but 25 to 30 minutes later to pay and leave that was a bit much. It was a good 1st...
Read moreI was reintroduced to this place last year by a friend/business colleague. I was impressed at how they had cleaned the place up. Great atmosphere, good food, fun time. We spent a lot of time (and money) there last year on their crab legs and even brought friends and family there .....In other words, we brought a LOT of business there. HOWEVER, my husband took me there today for the crab legs for an early anniversary dinner. The crab legs were not listed on their menu on the wall in the bar, so we were worried that they didnt have them.(also, these are snow crab legs, NOT king as advertised) He asked for them and they said they had them so we were looking forward to enjoying some crab. When we got them, it was one cluster per order, not 2 as we used to get. We were disappointed and wondered why we weren't told this up front before we ordered. But the biggest disappointment was when the bill came. Instead of $20, they were almost $28 PER ORDER. So, the portion was cut in half and the price went up $8. We left hungry and feeling VERY RIPPED OFF! I can't imagine going...
