McBees Bar and Grill — Restaurant in Kanabec Township

We ordered food to go. I got the total over the phone. The other person with me said just take my card and please don't go past the amount it was I don't have a lot on my card. I said ok I won't. The total was 28 bucks for the food. I go to pick it up. The asked for a tip on the slip. I didn't put a tip because I had someone else's card for the food. I put the amount what the food cost. I get back home and the other person was outraged at me. They said why did you tip them. The bill was 38 dollars now I'll be charged for an over draft fee. I said I didn't go over that. Well McBee's took it on them selfs to write in there own tip on the slip and now two Burger baskets cost about 60-70 bucks after that.

Very rude for a business to take it up on them selfs and do that. So they lost our business for good now. My advise go some where else that won't screw ya after you walk out door. I was very embarrassed that some one trusted me with there card to get food and that was done to us. Now I feel I can't be trusted with that person's card in the future if they want me to...

Where do I start, the place it's just a clean, nicely decorated. (For bar decore but the nicely decore for the northern area, Northwoods) We just stopped in for a drink, but ended up having a appetizer, which was "Jalapena Poppers", & HAD to take a piece of their well know, people always talking about outstanding cheesecake. ( Had the Carmel/Toffee, but look forward to coming back for the cookie Dough Cheesecake). We enjoyed the atmosphere, great view, friendly service, & fare priced menu, which has from fried green beans to liver & onions & lot's in between.😁 From a great drink to cool off too after riding the Harley all day to a Friday night date night with a walleye dinner, drink & end the night watching a beautiful sunset off their back pario. We think you will really enjoy "Mcbee's" with everything they have to offer, & even see a few of your friends or make several new friends....

Our waitress is friendly and knows the menu. She checked back with us and communicated with us when a large group arrived. She wasn’t as responsive after that but I appreciated that she let us know up front.

The Philly Cheesesteak was pretty good, although the bottom was soggy. I especially liked the hand cut fries! I didn’t think they would taste so different from other restaurants. And don’t even get me started about the delicious cheesecake! Their burgers are very good too.

I wish they had more low cal options and some smaller menu items so I could rationalize my choice to have that cheesecake. :) One friend ordered a side salad and a baked potato. I need more protein.

It was strange that the parking was full and yet when we walked in the restaurant wasn’t.
