Dine in for a Nepalese feast! Jyoti Kitchen is a place I'll come back to again and again. They seem to do good business with carry-out, but it was a great experience dining IN! The prices are really reasonable. We ordered veggie pakora, chicken momo, goat curry (bone in!!), dessert of gulab jamun, lassi, and chai. Added sides of butter naan and mixed pickle. And split this between two people. Like a previous review mentioned, it's not fast food. Each dish is made fresh to order. Other parties came and left within an hour, but we stayed for over two, just enjoying. The dining atmosphere is calm and casual and the service was stellar. The space is clean and open and the restrooms seem fully accessible. We didn't see kids there, but this would be a great environment for a family meal, too. I've tried South Asian restaurants around the KC metro area and Jyoti Kitchen is by far the best. New...

Hey everyone! If you're looking for authentic Nepali food in Kansas City, Jyoti Kitchen is the place to go! As a Nepali, I can confidently say this is the only restaurant in the area that truly captures the flavors of Nepal.

The food here is absolutely delicious and made with so much care. What I love most is that everything is prepared fresh—nothing is pre-made or rushed. You can taste the authenticity in every bite, from the aromatic spices to the perfectly cooked dishes.

Just a heads-up: they are a bit slow, but it’s only because they prioritize quality and freshness. It’s not fast food like McDonald’s; it’s a labor of love, and the wait is totally worth it. So, if you’re planning to visit, please be patient and understand that good food takes time.

Support local businesses, especially ones like Jyoti Kitchen that are keeping Nepali cuisine alive in Kansas City. You won’t...

Been wanting to go to this Indian restaurant for a long time that is not too far where I live and it wasn't really actually busy and I was pretty much the only person that I was there around lunch time and also it mostly has their sodas and cans instead of by fountain machines and also the way it looks it might have been another restaurant before this place and also that I still have to wait to get my food cooked and also the food was really fine that I had that chicken curry and naan bread as the side and the chicken curry was alright and not really as spicy hot like what other Indian cuisines I had before and also recommend something to go for lunch and can get take out if you want something that's Indian and probably go back there sometime later and maybe get...

Outstanding food, hence the 5 stars! Tried the Chicken Chili, Tandoor Chicken, Chicken MoMo’s, Garlic Naan, rice and a side of Raita sauce. Be aware that the entree doesn’t come with Naan or Rice. You must order that separately. The Chicken MoMo comes with a yellow sauce that has a strong spice! Added a side of Raita sauce and it cooled it off nicely though. Overall, would return. Likely to get takeout though. It’s a small restaurant, not many tables and not in the greatest location. Service was pretty slow - another reason I’d say takeout may be the route we choose for next time. Nonetheless, complements to the chef. So tasty!
