Ms R's Cafe — Restaurant in Kansas City

Ms. R’s Restaurant, I have been going to this Restaurant for years. Probably for the last 3-DECADES, Saturday 3-19, 2022 on 7th Quindaro, WHAT A HORRIBLE, Upsetting EXPERIENCE. Eddie the New PROPRIETOR was Rude, INSULIN, Disrespectful, Unprofessional and My FOOD LOOKED DiSGUSTING. I thought I had Ordered A Child’s PLATE! Out of RESPECT to MS. R, I PAID and THE FOOD WAS FIT ONLY FOR THE TRASH. The FOOD WAS NOT FRESH and it even LOOKED OLD! I MET A NEW CUSTOMER IN THERE ON SATURDAY, And she POSTED her Review On Her FACEBOOK Page! People Don’t WANT, OLD FOOD! My 2-Orders of CHICKEN and DRESSING looked like it was COOKED last WEEK! Ms. R”s, Food Looks Disgusting, Looks OLD, The Chicken looked Miniature in Size, And EDDIE should be ASHAMED of HIMSELF! I THREW ALL THAT JUNK IN THE TRASH TO KEEP FROM GETTING, FOOD POISON! The WYANDOTTE COUNTY HEALTH DEPARTMENT and THE STATE of KANSAS, Should Be INSPECTING THESE RESTAURANT’s MORE OFTEN! What A WASTE of My HARD EARNED MONIES! I am Appalled at what EDDIE tried To Serve Me On Yesterday and CALL IT FOOD. Then He wanted to SELL me OTHER FOOD FROM LAST WEEK! WHEN SOMEONE GOES TO THE HOSPITAL WITH FOOD POISONING, And the RESTAURANT GETS SUED this...

This was my 1st time going I pass by it a few times but never stopped in. If there's one thing that I have missed since I've moved to this city 10 years ago would be the soul food restaurants that I grew up with in Saint Louis and Detroit. With that being said I would just like to let people know this food was great. Tender chops homemade mashed potatoes perfect collards perfect cabbage. I am a true sweet potato fan which was one of the reasons why I even went. However they just ran out before I arrived. The owner being who she is and understanding how bad I might have wanted those potatoes she had just a little bit of sweet potato juice put it in a container with some corn bread and gave it to me and when I tell you it was dynamite it was dynamite. I work in the area. So I'm always looking for new places to try. You get tired of the same old stuff. I stumbled across this little family owned establishment. They have a wide variety of items on their menu. I ordered the Monday special which was meatloaf, and 2 sides. I chose yams and cabbage. Well lets just say when you call in a order even tho they say 15 minutes it's never ready when you get there. The meatloaf was very salty and falling apart. The cabbage was overcooked and soggy and the yams had a weird seasoning. I didn't let that 1st time get to me though. I went back for their burger the next day. DING! DING! DING! DING!
