Hebert's Steak House — Restaurant in Kaplan

My friends and I went here, for the first time. I ordered spinach dip with bow tie pasta to start. The server brought it out, setting it on the table, saying 'I'm sorry, the pasta is burnt. I can bring you a better batch if you want...I'm going to bring some better pasta'. This was without our request. We each ordered a cheeseburger. Soon the cheeseburgers came out. Extremely burnt, and two of them were very burnt on both sides and crunchy. I kind of smiled and said 'The cook must have the heat on high'. The server totally ignored the thick black on each burger and asked 'Why? What do you mean?'. I had to laugh at the ridiculousness of the servers question. I'm on a diet, came starving and crunched my way through my burger, lol. One of my friends could not and did not eat hers and refused it. Two of us were very disappointed, and although I liked the atmosphere, will not he going back...

We love this place! The steaks are the best I’ve ever had and the seafood is a very close 2nd runner up. The restaurant is efficient, it has a nice home town feel to it and the staff is always polite and accommodating! We are regular customers and frequent this place often. My only complaint is the frigid temperature in this place. No matter the season, time of day or day of the week, it is ALWAYS a miserable shade of cold. The food was very good. We had a party of 6. All of us had steak. They were cooked as requested and it was a very good cut of meat. The seating was scarce due to restriction but it worked out. The staff was very friendly. The flow of food could use some work since we received and ate apps before they returned to take our order.
