Read moreThe location is outside with a playground for children. The parking is adequate but it is not fully paved. It's gravel, dirt, and grass, keep that in mind for footwear options.
I went with friends and ordered crawfish, fries, alligator balls, and empanadas. I asked if they had Brisk ice tea and they said no, just lemon. I bought it and received the Brisk ice tea, I guess they think the lemon on the can meant it wasn't iced tea, but it is.
Regardless, it's a great place to go with young kids. The food is good but the crawfish wasn't purged, so it was filled with poo and dirt. The crawfish has one spice level and the seasoning is decent. I'd say it's medium heat level with a similar saltiness to what you'd get at the Asian crawfish places on Bellaire, just not as flavorful.
There's a snow cone place in the same area that has amazing snow cones. Definitely check out that place.
If I go back, it would be for the side dishes and the sno cone at the other place. The crawfish isn't good enough or clean enough. Purging the crawfish improves the flavor, so not sure why they...
Read moreI’ve been coming here for a while and can start by saying that the taste of the food is good. However, the honesty of the business has gone on a steep decline.
It used to be where you would get generous portions when buying meat/crawfish per pound, but as of a year or two, you don’t even get what you paid for. I take my food to go most of the time and have a food scale at home so when I noticed the difference in portions I started weighing it. I paid for 5 lbs of crawfish and got 4 lbs, and same with brisket, I got well under the pound I paid for.
Their prices are not cheap, so they should at least make the effort to get this right. This has happened several times now, and one time I went back to let them know and they fixed it, but it shouldn’t fall on the customer to weigh the food and have to return to get what they paid for. I recommend that if you still choose to come here, you ask to have your food weighed in front of you. I’ve given them several opportunities and have been very disappointed with their honesty, so from my part I won’t be...
