Toddy Oaks Indoor & Outdoor Event Venue — Restaurant in Katy

As a live music venue, this place is poorly managed and very hard to work with. I host events at live music venues all over town and this is my least favorite.

They do not have enough parking to fit their events. The info on their website is inaccurate and unreliable. They never seem to have their act together and it's always very disorganized.

The very limited food selection is not worth what you pay for it. Their vodka is terrible. They don't offer tequila or bourbon drinks...only vodka and rum. They do have beer and wine which is ok....if you don't mind waiting in line 30 mins every time you need a new beverage.

The multi-level deck situation is a trip-hazard and unsafe. They really need to tighten up loose, rickety boards. Women in high-heel boots or shoes need to be extra careful because heels get caught between the slats.

They treat customers like a burden instead of a valued guest. When I bring a group of paying customers to see a show, all of whom are buying food and drinks, in addition to the $15-20 cover charge, I expect a little courtesy and cooperation. I don't need "table and chair Nazis" making my guests feel unwelcome. Isn't the point of offering live music at your venue to attract people to buy food and drinks?!

All in all this is not a fun venue and not worth the effort.

Here's the definition of BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES. I brought 22 people for event. Between cover charge, reserved table fees, food, and drinks, we averaged AT LEAST $50/person. That's $1100 for the venue. If we had enjoyed ourselves, we may attend at least 6 times a year. That's $6600/yr. And y'all want to complain about $20 worth of extra chairs?! I am so upset with your venue and it’s mismanagement and miscommunication. I spoke with Stephanie not one phone call but three on Wednesday only to find out today when we showed up to Toddy Oaks she still gave us the wrong information. I called Wed to confirm you would be open to the public and not closed for an event for Saturday 4/29. She called back about Friday- I had inquired about Saturday. Called back again to confirm Saturday was open to the public. Great. Notified our entire group. Called AGAIN to back track it was not in fact open to the public. I was already upset bc between our last conversations I notified all 12 of our group to confirm we’d be meeting at your establishment only to find out we could not. She THEN confirmed we could come earlier in the day as planned as long as we left the venue before the 8pm concert. Great! I was happy as we planned to be there 4-6:30. Today we showed up at 4 only to find out the entire place was closed, not a single bar open, and the staff was both unfriendly, could not care less and was unapologetic and unhelpful. This establishment really needs to get it together. No guest should have to confirm SEVERAL times and still be given the wrong info. I myself looked incompetent scrambling to find somewhere else for all of us to go and communicate it at the last minute as our group was all arriving. I have been a regular patron at Toddy Oaks for numerous music events, and this venue consistently delivers an exceptional experience. The facility serves as an outstanding location for live music, offering an atmosphere that enhances every performance I have attended.
