Vavalos Bar and Restaurant — Restaurant in Keating Township

First impression and menu 5 stars. Mussels and shrimp cocktail were perfect appetizers. Didn't care much for that cocktail sauce but was good. No calamari, on menu though. King cut prime rib ordered medium rare was cut thin to thick resulting in well done on one side and raw on the other. Potato was baked and I ordered sweet potato fries. Having waited 45 minutes for our meals I sent mine back and didn't eat anything but the fries when they came. My wife had crab legs, they were ok. We had arrived at 5:30 and left at 7:15. Only one other table of 4 in dining area during our time there. We were excited to try a different restaurant and loved the menu choices but were very disappointed with the follow through. This was our third visit. We came back because our first 2 visits were great. Excellent food and great service. Tonight was not so good. Waited an hour for our food. Only one other table in the dining area which was done eating. Food arrived and was cold and nacho chips were way over done. Fish was not as requested. Not sure what happened but when we complained they gave us our drinks...

It was our 1st time at Vavalos and we really enjoyed everything! The food was delicious and the service was as well! We had Brianne for our waitress and she's a gem. She was a very good waitress! I had the prime rib and the spinach dip and homemade chips for dipping in the dip that was also delicious! I forgot to take pictures this time unfortunately next time...
