Little Don's Cafe — Restaurant in Keensburg

My boyfriend and I stopped here last Wednesday for the first time. We got there just before they closed at 1:30 p.m. and ordered burgers and fries. They were the best burgers and fries we've had in a long time. The waitress recommended the Sunday buffet that starts at 10:30 a.m. I took my Mom there today and we were there a little after 10:30 a.m. and there were already a LOT of people there. They were coming in from everywhere when we left! The church crowds know where to go! The food was delicious! Seasoned just right. They know how to cook there. And the pies were all homemade. This is not a fancy dining establishment. This is your off-the- beaten-path, hole-in-the-wall, Mom and Pop type dining experience, which to me, are the best places to eat. The food on the buffet is all homemade and amazing! The staff is friendly and down-to-earth and you can tell the customers are regulars. What a treat! This has got to be Keensburg's best kept secret. We heard about this place from a friend and then heard on the radio an advertisement and had to get over to try it out. The buffet was the best buffet around. Fried chicken like grandma used to make, all homemade fixin's, lasagna, beef and noodles, a great salad bar with pasta salad, fresh from the garden tomatoes and cucumbers, bean salad, coleslaw, and my favorite: pickled beats.
