The Happy Tree Cafe — Restaurant in Kelso

OK, so my wife kept bragging about this place that had opened around the corner from where we live. I was away and on the road, however, let me tell you this, when I arrived back home, one of my best experiences at a “coffee shop” in Cowlitz County, has to be stopping by and sampling (and talking) with Brian And Michelle!

As it turns out, this is not just your ordinary coffee shop. This is a coffee shop/eatery that is to absolutely die for (yes, I will die on this hill).

Today I had their version of avocado toast. If you are not aware, avocado, toast gets so much love for a good reason – it’s simple, delicious, and surprisingly nutritious! Avocado toast is nutrient, dense, energizing, and filling, and totally customizable, of which Michelle takes the new levels. It was absolutely amazing!! I only stopped in for a few minutes to grab a pastry and check out the place. Very nice! I’m so excited to have something like this here-usually have only seen this quality of coffee/bakery in a more touristy or urban location. So this is awesome. You can tell they care about what they’re doing. I love to go to a bakery/coffee shop and find pastries that you don’t see everywhere-that’s a win for me. I went by this week for the first time on my way out to work and I absolutely love this little cafe. The food is deliciously prepared, the drinks are great, and the baristas were super attentive, food service savvy, and welcoming!
