Slap N' Good BBQ & Catering — Restaurant in Kemp

Our first visit to GBC Slap N’ Good and we were so impressed with the food. My fiancé got a chopped beef sandwich, and jalapeño with cheddar sausage and I got the chopped beef loaded potato. Everything was so delicious, we truly enjoyed our lunch date. After speaking with one of the servers she realized it was our first time in and she said we can get a dessert on the house! I was expecting her to give us 1 dessert to share but she said absolutely not, we each were able to pick from their selection and ever the dessert was amazing! On our way out, we headed to the counter to pay only to be told “y’all have a great day!” My fiancé and I were confused because we hadn’t paid our bill so we reminded the sweet lady and she told us that they feel it in their hearts to bless two tables a day because as long as they are able to keep their doors open, they feel blessed enough to pay it forward….. when I tell you this brought literal tears to my eyes and so much joy to my heart… here lately there’s been more complaints regarding customer service but from the minute we walked in to the second we left(even if we would’ve had to pay for the food ourselves) the service and atmosphere was GREAT!! Good please...

We had been hearing about this barbecue joint in Kemp for the longest time. A great many people kept telling us that we should go there and how wonderful it was. We took it with a grain of salt and it was over a year before we finally tried it. All I can say is that I missed out on a years worth of some of the best BBQ I’ve ever eaten! Prices are very reasonable and the menu includes all the expected side dishes and some unexpected treats like old fashioned collard greens , twice baked potatoes and cabbage just to name a few and finish it all off with homemade pie. But the best part of our experience was the staff and owners. Our waitperson was amazing and Shannon who is one of the owners stopped and visited us and we had so much fun with her. If you like great BBQ served by down home good people this is the place. No big name over the door just...

Hey guys, I'd like to tell the world how great yall food was for me. That's why I purchased every meat yall sold as well as the 2 stuffed meat potatoes and I thank yall for the Banana pudding as a first time customer. Well every single piece I ate was totally delicious, moist and well smoked to the fullest. I've tried many many places since moving to Texas in 2009 and I promise u yall have my # 1 vote on being the Best tasting, cooked/ smoked just right BBQ Restaurant I've been too and my drive almost 30 miles wasn't in vain.
