Super Rude:The food here is ok. However I ordered two large Gen Chickens and Pork Mei fun. I picked up my food and left. A couple of minutes later I get a call saying they accidentally gave me pork fried rice instead of Mei fun. So I went back and they took my bag and replaced the rice with my Mei fun noodles. I then reiterated my order. Asking again if I got the 2 large General Chickens, pork Mei fun and an egg roll the counter kid said "yes". There was no apology for messing up my order or the inconvenience, but whatever, I'm easygoing. So I headed home again. When I opened the package I got 2 gen chicken combos. I called in and tried to explain what happened and from the beginning the lady started questioning what I said so I explained to her I asked for the large general chicken. Her response was "he said you order a combo". I ordered in a car full of people over Bluetooth and I did not ever say the word "combo" but I did say the words "large general chicken". So when I arrived there the mother and son berated me, yelling, saying that I had ordered something that I did not order. There was no attempt made to rectify it. No apology. I came with cash I was going to try to tip the difference because they made an error and I didn't want them to have to pay for it. Instead, I got yelled at rudely in a public restaurant and when I asked them if that's how they treat all their customers the boy said "no". He argued with me six times and his mother argued with me three times claiming I said something that I did not say. What kind of business owner acts this way? What kind of adult acts this way? I can understand the kid, who clearly doesn't want to be there, being a little monotone and careless. It never even occurred to them that if they made a mistake with my Mei fun noodles, then it's possible they made a mistake with my order. I would have been willing to work it out, but since they had this attitude I said "well I won't be coming here anymore" and the counter adolescent kid said "okay". Then in the back they were talking amongst themselves complaining in two languages. I just can't imagine any grown, mature person acting that way, especially in a business situation. I even tried to tell them since they gave me two half orders they could just give me one large and it would work out and no need to give me any more rice. Then when I discussed it with them at the restaurant they acted as if that was their idea. I was trying to be fair with them and just get what I ordered. I never ordered any yelling or berating. Seems kind of low brow to me. I've ordered from them at least three times a month for the last year and they could care less about any of that, just a few bucks for chicken they thought they had to give away because they were too busy being angry to ask if we could rectify it financially. I would have been glad to. But now they won't get my $30 a week anymore. Over a couple dollars of chicken. How ignorant. SMH. I don't recommend going here because if they get your order wrong they will blame it on you. Just look at the responses that the owner of the restaurant has for the people who have written negative reviews. Classless.
*In reply to the rude business owner. You're telling me what I didn't say but you weren't on the phone, it was your adolescent child (you force to work constantly) who took the order and made a mistake. It's fine with me. I would have been okay with that. A simple apology would do. I had no interest in free food. I didn't bring it in because I didn't think you would serve it to someone else. Most restaurants don't take back the food mistakenly given because it's unsanitary. I don't care if you beg me or not. It wasn't chess. What I don't like is that you were yelling and accusing. I know what I ordered and so does my family who were present. I never said the word "combo" at all. As I look through all of these reviews you haven't made one apology. You're not good at taking criticism or biz. You shouldn't have your somber child arguing with customers either. $1,000+ a...
Read moreThe place sells hot food usually. Sometimes the buffett is way to low. People have alot of problems their. We have litterally found a (hair) on the side of a plate, I wont say What Kind of hair it was. But you can guess what that was. They tried to say we must have put it there. No Way. We left but didnt get any money back. They said Dont come back. Other people have walked out arguing with them for dropping their silverware on the floor and giving it to them. I was there that day too. P.S. Feb.2019 Theyre food is getting Worse & Worse. And they put signs on the Buffett ( While youre eating) signs that say IF YOU EAT THIS AFTER 3:30 or 4:00 YOU WILL PAY DINNER PRICES! And they Watch you like a Hawk. They want you to eat the stale dried up food before they will add a little bit more of it to the buffett. Very greedy, higher prices AGAIN. No manners or personality at all. Never a smile either. I forget once in a while and I go back in there. And then wish I hadn't. Theres a resterant in the shopping center across the street, behind Burger King. They have about 10 Buffetts. Theyre better but THEY ALSO Watch you like a hawk. And sign says...if you waste the food You Will have to pay EXTRA. NO JOKE. LOL. Just put on your plate what you will eat. Or they will weigh what you Waste, so you can pay for it. I never heard that before for a Buffett Resturant. 😀😀😀. Usually the food is pretty good. Not the cakes! ( Dont get too much at...

I’ve been a loyal customer of Golden China Restaurant for years, but unfortunately, my recent experiences haven’t lived up to the high standards they once set. Since the new family took over, there’s been a noticeable difference in both the quality and taste of the food. Dishes that used to be flavorful and fresh now seem lacking in the same attention to detail that made the restaurant a local favorite.
One of the most significant changes I've noticed is in the freshness of the ingredients. The food doesn’t taste as vibrant or as carefully prepared as it did before. It seems like some shortcuts may be taken, which has had an unfortunate impact on both the flavor and overall dining experience.
While I understand that transitions can be challenging, especially when a family-run business changes hands, it’s disappointing to see a drop in quality at a place that I’ve loved for so long. I genuinely wish the new owners the best of luck, but I hope they can bring back the standards that made Golden China a standout spot in the past. I’ll give them some time and hope things improve, but for now, it just...
